A question for Old Timer, Jerry L and the other San Soo people,

I've read most of the thread on San Soo and the posts here. What I see to be the difference between San Soo and what Tim teaches is that Tim's training includes sparring and competition.

San Soo people say there style is only for real fighting and it is too dangerous to compete. I heard the same thing from some of the Karaate styles I was exposed to. But then there is the clip of Tim demonstrating a throw, then using it in competition and the San Soo guys say it is the same as San Soo.

The Judo guy Tim threw in the competition obviously didn't die, so if those kinds of techniques are the same as San Soo, why can't San Soo people spar and compete too, at least with some of their techniques, then they would know if they can do them under pressure when the other guy really fights back.

Because anyone with a few weeks of training knows that doing a technique when someone lets you is nothing like trying to do a technique on someone who really fights back.

Jacks Back, ladies.

William F- yes, Tim used San Soo in competetion as I stated above (posting as Jerry L) yes, that goes against San Soo policy of only using San Soo to kill or maime.

but the only reason the Judo guy didn't die is because he's a well trained Judo guy. San Soo is intended for smaller, weaker, untrained opponents who do know intend or desire to fight.

if Timmy had grabbed a guy on the street and executed that throw, with no warning, that guy would die.

the quire is too silent.

the quire is too complacent....

AssMaster Jack,

It's time for a spelling lesson. It's "choir" and not "quire". Make the correction.

URDelusional; you are also ignorant if you think those "Master Jack" posts are the same Jack Vincent that used to post here. No need to re-"quire" a correction. Maybe you can be happy that your ass is behind you

It's like puque, you guys with your know-nothin - content-less (like dickless) posts are either pukers, pukees, or puques (a gay puker). It all reaction, like the gag reflex. I know you can't help it when the Jack cunt kicks ya with them zinger from any and all angle posts and with his myrad of characters, half the time he's postin as _________ ! (fill in the blank).

Wow. Only on the internet...

Could someone post a clip of Tim executing a throw against a resisting opponent and have it morph into the post above.

Jack, please stay away from my tight little ass.

Jack just needs a hobby. How about base jumping without a parachute or wrestling gorillas at the zoo? If that doesn't suit your fancy, how about playing russian roulette with a fully loaded gun? Think of the possibilities and use your imagination.

(quote meynard)

"Tim mentioned that he wants to put up at least one new clip a month.

You'll be seeing more clips soon enough. The last one I posted was supposed to be for January and I was just slow in getting it up on the Virtual Academy.

Stay tuned and visit often."

well its july now and i have'nt seen anything new (sobbing kicking and screaming), as a matter of fact, the whole thing is down and all the techniques and clips no longer work.

whats going on?

I apologize mr sad.

It takes some time in my day to make clips from footage and upload them to the virtual academy. I've just been really busy and tired lately.

Meynard,
sounds like you need a break.
the beaches in Israel are the place for you this time of the year...
Take a couple of weeks off, I'll make sure you get fully rested, and then we can all enjoy the virtual acadamy again!

hey Meynard are you goin to put up the group photo ?/

By Jason M. Struck on Friday, July 07, 2006 - 09:22 am: Edit Post

i used to sell skeptics on the Tim's books by leading them to those sparring and applications clips.

script went like this:
"you can't fight with Tai Chi"
"watch this"
"and he has a book about passing the guard?"
"yes"
"ok"

I don't want to be crushed...

Crusher the photo is up on the Virtual Academy.

I'll send you the other versions later. Maybe tonight.

And if I don't get beat too badly today I may add some more photos and post old clips. That's if I can still type after today's workout.

Haran,

I may be able to photoshop you on the group photo...

You should've been here. El Tigre needs to come back and train.

By Haran on Monday, July 10, 2006 - 11:20 am: Edit Post

I wish I was there....
looks like the group is steadily growing, all the good guys (and girls, can't forget Heather) and some more.
for now i'm content practicing "ninjitsu". the way we train it, it's actually mma with lots of fight drills standing up, throwing, some bjj ground work and a bit of 2 man katas (don't like them much). the bjj doesn't come close to Shen Wu level, but there is only one Tim so I have to suck it up. Any chance of transferring Shen Wu to Jerusalem? man, that would rock!
