Tim,
Does Ace have its own conditioning coach or do you teach that to fighter as well?
Also, what do you teach your fighters to do to keep their bodies healthy while training? Are the Chinese exercise sets enough? Hsing I nei gong, sun tai ji form, stance keeping, etc.
I handle the conditioning for the BJJ competitors. Our pro MMA fighters will also train part time (during camp) with an affiliated strength and conditioning coach.
My conditioning system includes a well rounded program of cardio, flexibility, strength and coordination training, oriented toward developing the power specific to the techniques we use. I also place a big emphasis on postural alignment, correct body use and the cultivation of "natural power."
I don't teach any Chinese exercise sets or traditional forms in BJJ or Sub grappling classes, or to my MMA fighters.
Tim,
Would you categorize nei gong as mostly joint flexibility in regards to the terms you mentioed above?
