In addition to our training with Tim, the School of Budo hosts our NW CQC club, which offers advanced self protection instruction including firearms and edged weapons.
Not "martial arts" practice, per se, but much more streamlined approach taking practical realities into account.
Our primary instructor Craig Douglas will be in town offering the edged weapons version of his firearms Extreme Close Quarters Concepts course this coming June. This is a great course for martial artists of all types to practice more street oriented situations and encounters (from verbal interaction to unarmed and armed defense) drawing from skills already learned in the martial arts context.
Check out the NW CQC blog for more info:

Having practiced with Tim for several years now, his stuff supports and dovetails nicely with ECQC material, and the combo has worked well for me in both a self defense situation against two guys and repeatedly in my professional life.
I'll be there.
Tim
That will be awesome!
Sounds awesome guys! Send me an email with flier/info and I can post it on my blog if you like. Wish I could be there!
FYI I am also working on getting Meynard up here to do another PTK session.
Cheers
Jake
Info is on the blog link above, no flier at this point.
Craig is an old pekiti guy himself!
Yeah I know. Familiar with what they do!
Would you like me to make a public post?
