The Three Treasures
(According to Jack Yello and hence forth known as TTT.) in chinese taoist alchemy are: Jing, Chi and Shen. The Jing is correlated to the genitalia. Defective or excessive energy in the genitalia injuries the kidneys which in turn injures the lungs. Blows to this area will affect these organs. Striking the diaphram which is linked to breathing has the same shock effect as kicking the groin.
The Chi refers to the Dan-tian. The key to Toaist Inner Alchemy Immortality is linked here in the "sea of nourishment" (the stomach) and has everything to do with understanding the nature of the reaction of foods on the body. Most foods create lactic acids that build up. There are foods that are like vinegar to the body and preserve it. If the earth can live for millions of years would not an understanding of its laws and ways promote the same affect for a person?
In Western ALchemy they called the intestines the large serpent and the brains the small serpent. Thus the health of the intestines was directly related to the health and function of the brain.
The Shen is correlated to the mind/spirit. In chinese alchemy if you want to become a celestial immortal you walked the energy up from the groin, through the stomach and into the mind. From here you transform it to Shu. If you wanted to be a physical immortal you walked the energy up to the Shen and then back down (converted) into the heart.
In combat TTT are: sight (Shen), breathe (Chi) and Balance (Jing). Thus it becomes as simple as understanding this- turn the head, take the breath, trip or body blast. I believe it is a valid criteria by which to judge the effectiveness or your technique. Are you taking only one, two or three. No, then start altering you movements. Take an opponents balance with a proper trip and in hitting the ground you take both his sight (Think head bouncing of asphalt) and his breath. Allowing you enough time for a skiffully executed kick to the jaw, which in turn creates the same effect.
