Senior V.
Would this thought be correct?
As motion and stillness can be laid on a line that may be labeled movement, the yin yang relationship is thusly established: Going to the extreme of slow motion (Yin) is the same as going to the extreme of fast motion (Yang).

By MJ Lesson (Unregistered Guest) on Friday, May 12, 2006 - 02:38 pm: Edit Post

Slow or fast is of no concern. What is important is that one accords with the other.

Spontaneous action and control arise from transcending yin yang. And you reach unity.

When you can unite you become part of the problem, thus you have an opportunity to become part of the solution.

This is basic to acceptance. One must not deny anything. Always accept in motion and emotion. Physically and socially.

Adjust and adapt to transform.

Then go see a movie...

Hey I'm studying for the US medical liscensing exam and I reviewed psychiatry yesterday...when we got to Narcissistic personality disorders a bell went off. "ding...oh, hey that is that guy Jack".
Two things are important for this diagnosis.
1. You were "born this way". you didn't acquire it through multiple beatings by your neighborhood bully.
2. Egosyntonic...you don't think you have a problem, its everyone else that has the problem.

I'm sure you could get treatment, but then again maybe you shouldn't. A lot of really powerful and important people had/have the same problem (Donald trump, H.Ross Perot, Regis, etc...).

I love this forum and read it on my study breaks, but you guys are really annoying w/ the pseudo-eastern philisophical dribble. Nothing sadder than reading you guys trying to sound smart. I'd rather read Doust write about the color shorts that GSP wore when he fought in UFC 57!!!!

Now, can we move on to something serious? ok, I'll admit it. I think he wore white shorts, but looks better in red ones.

Senior V: Acceptance of death?
Lets say your diagnosed with cancer and it is terminal(Think Lance Armstrong and Tour De France) and you figure "What the hell I'm gonna die anyway so it does not matter how hard I pedal this damn bike, whats the worse that could happen? I die." Would this fall into the concept of Resoulute acceptance of death as a means of complete liberation?

By Senior V (Unregistered Guest) on Monday, May 15, 2006 - 11:27 pm: Edit Post

Life is not a dream. A man is impeccable when he does his best never to go against his self. Doing less than your best is going against yourself.

You act as if you have not discovered that you are going to die.

Many people say, “if" I die; they should say “when” I die. I discovered my death a long time ago. And it liberated me from fear. It allowed me to up the bet.

You intellectually understand that you are going to die, but you do not emotionally accept it.

If you did you would “know” that you are going to die and the question you asked would now be in the proper context.

You have cancer, it’s called “life” - life is going to kill you. So what now, stop doing your best? Stop giving a sheit? Stop fulfilling the most precious things in life - responsibility to your word, yourself and your integrity, your personal honesty.

Hiding from your death, like loser-boy with his "Look I'm a dental tech, wow I'm important” shtick, is just baby barf - the normal part of the beginning. He is normal and normal is another word for mediocre.

Those who do not challenge themselves, those who accept mediocrity and the status quo and work inside other men's rules (like sport comp) never achieve greatness, it is those who develop the rules or die trying, who achieve the ultimate, which is not being a great fighter, but being a great human.

You are here to serve.

I have been successful and all my success came from this credo -

"Successful people deliver outrageous value."

Period.

Timo,

Why did you delete my piss n viniger posts.

Defanged Jack aint no fun!

Comon man.

Some say my ability to turn the primordial fire on and off at will makes me a true psychopath. Thank you, thank you.

It not that at all, its control of the fire we all have burning inside.

A complete kung fu education teaches you how to raise and lower the heat.

My piss n vinegar stuff isn't malicious. It's just is.

Hell I'm going to lose fans if you keep on doing that.

Loser-boy deserves such vile disrespect from El V.

Lets maintain a level playing field, OK?

LOSMAN:
"I love this forum and read it on my study breaks, but you guys are really annoying w/ the pseudo-eastern philisophical dribble. Nothing sadder than reading you guys trying to sound smart."

Its almost as sad as someone who has clearly not read the archives. A smart man does research and presents a proper argument. It is hard to believe that you are in involved in the level of academia you state you are based on the clear fact that if you had read anything here, whether you agree with it or not, you would clearly see time, dedication, and experience. This is what seperates true healers from quacks (Quack was coined in the late 1600s by would be doctors who fashioned themselves alchemists. That they used mercury reveals that they knew very little about alchemy.)
Or maybe your one of those Doctors who believes that they are they Elite because they have new ways to deal with the effects (cutting everything out, what the hell has changed in the 400 years of your tradition. O, pardon me, I confused Para-Celsus with Celsus).
Of course in Celsus' day a patient spent a considerable amount of time answering questions about themselves. Bet money you have never asked more than 27 questions in one sitting about a patients habits.
27 Being the base number(the least) amount of questions that Hippocrates asked his patients.
In china healers are not paid unless a healing occurs.....How much money would you be making?

I bet your idea of bedside manners is stopping into peoples rooms in a hospital for 30 seconds to say hello and look at their stat sheets so you can invoice the insurance companies your fee for service.
Your art is an aberration stemming from the original art of Alchemy. In alchemy their are tales from every corner of the globe about people living product and healthy lives for centuries. Can your art do This?

P.S. to LostMan
You obviously never read the whole tale of Narcissus. True he fell in love with his relection and fell into the lake. The lake had a name. And the story continues with explanation about the nature of the water of that lake. Understanding the lake in this story is far more important than why Narcissus fell in.
Have some Professionalism and research and post proper. Your giving Doctors a worse a name than they already have. You want to be one, start acting like one.

By Grazing Grasshopper on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 - 01:09 am: Edit Post

P.P.S. to LostMan:
Both of psychological concepts you attack Mr. V. with are answered in prior post. Neither of the psychological principles you talk about would apply. Take your psych 101 B.S. and start analysing you. In all of the mystery temples around the world from the ancient days had the same sign over their entrances. "Know Thyself". It is commendable that you are studying psychology as it is an avenue for self knowledge. If you want it to work for you study and observe with your own eye. After several years of studying and thinking it may be possible to heal. The idea of psychology is that something is broken and the psychologist helps the individual to heal through their responses. Your resposes, aside from being incorrect, serve to provoke. Provocation can be healing if it provokes a response that the patient is in need of confronting. Your provocation was for provocation sake. This is a big no-no in this industry.
A real kung fu man is beyond provocation. Only when your mind is not clouded with emotion can see clearly. A real psychologist is like the kung fu man. In order to affect a healing s/he must remain unmoved.
"To whom are friendly amongst the hostile, Serene amongst the agitated, Detached among the clinging, Him, I call noble."

Apprentice here,
Jack, another beautiful post as always. And yes, censorship sucks. I like the saying about being normal is only being mediocore. Means a lot to me. But please write some more on mediocrity and normality.

Hey Master Jack
Good to hear from you again. Iv'e written other e-mails, but they were "deleted" also. Have to be careful about what you say about competition on this board I guess. Just wanted to tell you thanks for "The Power of Now" that you turned me on to! Keep posting, Happy Satori.

To Jack, etc.

The average human being learns to control the primordial fire we all have burning inside between the ages of two and five, evidenced by their ability to get piss, vinegar, etc into socially inappropriate receptacles. When you build a playing field that is unfortunately accessible to people lacking such training, it is not a good idea to build it "level"; it is better to slope it towards a drain, so that the adult caretakers can conveniently hose it off from time to time so as to keep the rest of the players from having to wallow in shite.

Apprentice/HCP

Censorship does suck. Do you censor posts on your discussion board?

Why don't you just post under one name from now on.

A reminder, all of you are only able to post here at all because I allow it. Because I pay the rent.

By Fatboy (Unregistered Guest) on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 - 04:50 am: Edit Post

If people are "good" MAs and want to show off their exceptional ablility in competition I can't see the problem with that? I guess there are several reasons why you may want to enter a competition, but YOU must want it !!!

I know my own attained MA ability has proved reasonable, having used it for good effect in the pavement arena, on much bigger giants than myself whom were suprised to say the least. Please feel free to quote this for smartass rebuttals.

The results of these escapades made me very content with my attainment in MAs that since competition has never has enticed or enthralled me, but that's me.

Tim I accept my passionate use of language is not to the taste of some, and since you do pay the rent, I'll respect that and try not to entice moronic replies from the morons to my posts which tend to use goading rhetoric.

Go ahead and delete this one if you want.

Big idea: every life is terminal. We are all headed for the same end - no matter how long we get to live. When you remember that "before we know it, we'll all be dust," all the things that currently keep you small (like fear, pride and past disappointments) just fall away. And you discover that the time to shine - and be great - is now. (And if not now, then when?).

As far as posting under one name, Why? You are responding to print here. Not to people, I see no one on this board, there is no one speaking to me - communicating in the now.

I am responding to characters, not people. Characters in two senses; one, print, the alphabet; two, personalities.

I think the different names add to the communication of the post.

Lover boy Shame does it - many people do it. The handles reflect the nature of the post. It’s the message not the people that are important. But in the land of big ego (O.C.) and hyper-self-indulgence I guess you could get the idea that it is the person, or “me” that is more important than the idea.

What is the matter Shame, we make too much sense for you here. You feel threatened and want us to go home. Is this Censorship thing a way of “winning.” If that’s how you want to win, fine. Lower yourself, its nothing new, O.C. is famous for people lowering them self to any level to win. Yet they are never victorious as they lose their sould (feeling) in the process.

“Don’t gain the world to lose your soul, wisdom is better than silver and gold.”

It’s the post to which you are responding, not the person.

This is a common fault in this sick culture. People think they are having relationships with machines, cars, bikes etc. To have a relationship in a healthy way, that thing you are relating to must relate back, be able to show emotion, thus it needs to be a human or animal. All you want be jacks and your sick minds, stop it! (ah go ahead, indulge your self with dirty humor).

One cannot have a relationship with a machine. You can interact with one, but not a relationship using the connotations I am implying.

Tim,

I respected you more when you were less of a control freak. I used to think, hey, this guy is really unaffected, he’s a Yoda-man. I know that the anti-comp crowd is bad for biz, so maybe we should all lighten up a bit, however, I enjoy the barbaric personalities, you know like fighting is barbaric? So why not have the crude personalities to accompany the crude display of fighting-like actions.

It’s fighting for fighting’s sake, right. There is no focused personal development.

If you want to teach or force culture on your board, then why not teach culture in your studio?

Any ways the arguments can be as fun as the opinions. And even neo-facist wana-be Doc Loserboy needs a good wake up call. Unless he wants to perpetuate the status quo, that is driving this country down with soulless capitalism. You are sick, well let me rape you with my tongue depressor and not only will you be sick, I will be rich at the expense of your health?

This is a guy who has never realized his death.

When you realize you death it creates soul (feeling).

I love the US and I left the US. I love some of the progressive people but loath the participation of the sheep (the majority). They keep sucking up the disrespect of the politicians and never stand up to anybody.

It’s an anything goes society, witness: Fatboy and his link. A perfect example of soullessness “See look at me I can offend you.” What a lack of couth, lack of sophistication. Perfect reason why martial arts should require culture development. Obviously, Fatboy cannot find it anywhere else. Looks like Mummy and Papi failed so where do you turn, to the church, give me a break; most Churches are money making machines. And the Catholic churchianity is filled with perverts. "So what’s a poor Fatboy to do? Cept sing for a rocknroll band, (you get it). Cause in sleepy O.C. town there's just no room for street fighting man." Too neutered. Leadership challenged. Under the spell of the pied piper.

Being offensive as a prop, (like I use it) is much different that being offensive for its own sake (same thing goes for fighting, I use it to get things done, not for it own sake. It’s like the difference between intercourse and masturbation, one is for procreation (creating a child) the other is for orgasm, self-satisfaction).

Hell the Mexicans are standing up, the Arabs are standing up. But the Americans… Oh all you illegals, come on in and abuse or system, we wouldn’t want to offend yu. Hell they take up all the space, so why don’t we take up and use Mexican space, they take our land through and illegal occupation, we take their land through occupation. I kinds like baja California. (it say "california" rigt? Hey it is manefest destiney - must be ours - meant to be!

You never hear anybody saying that. To busy doing the eight to five thing to have bigger TV’s, no time to mind the store or protest or keep the ego maniac lying politicians from ruining what could be the greatest country of all time. This generation is a waste, lethargic and lazy, convinced they are entitled to something for nothing. We were wasted on substance in the sixties and seventies, what is their excuse? Wasted on video, asleep at the wheel. No consciousness, no character, no culture. They need a slap at the wheel cause there lack of leadership and character is gonna be the end of us. Just wait and see.

Just a little thought I had, hope you don’t mind me sharing Tim, Oh and thanks for letting me use the board.

How was that for political correctness? Now I will go wipe the brown stuff off my nose.
Getty yap Jack, Hi Ho Silver and away. Back to C.A. soon – thank God. People are a lot less uptight there.

Speaking of Silver, it is over $13 an ounce, your Uncie bought at around $6, so E.F Jacton says – SELL!

Final thought: I know this is your board but it is the time the participants take to write theses messages that make this board good, so you pay the rent $ wise, but we pay with our time.
