Brian Kennedy and Elizabeth Guo's new book " Jingwu: The School that Transformed Kung Fu" is now available from Blue Snake Books.
The book is outstanding, the most thorough work on the Jingwu school ever published. It is extremely informative and well written, and is easily worth the cover price for the hundreds of old photographs alone.
For anyone not familiar with the Jingwu school, I suggest you watch Bruce Lee's "Chinese Connection," and Jet Lee's "Fist of Legend," then get Brian and Elizabeth's book for the real story.
I will have to check it out!
Tim, what is the proper romanization and Mandarin pronunciation? I have seen Chin Woo / Jin Mo / Jing Wu etc. etc.
Thanks
Jake
Thanks much Tim. Elizabeth and I really appreciate you writing the back cover blurb for the book. Having you and Stan Henning do the two blurbs was a real honor. The book does have some great photos. For example many folks know the traditional Jingwu kung fu uniform (the black tops with the white frog buttons) but people are less familiar with the Jingwu leopard skin no-gi rash guards. They look like this:

take care,
Brian
p.s. Jake, in pinyin it is “Jingwu”
The honor is all mine Brian.
Jake, "jing" first tone, "essence" and "wu" of course is martial art.
