Just curios as to how many of y'all have read Tim's book, "Effortless Combat Throws".
Tim: This is one of the best books on IMA's that I have ever read. Your ability to put concepts and principles into words is great. The book has become one of my all time favorites and has proved to be quite usefull in my progress in understanding concepts/principles of Bauguazhang. I really need to buy a copy for myself; oe of my instructors lent me his copy a while back and I havent been able to let it go!

I would also add that his translation of Practical Chin Na is excellent and quite informative as well....

After attending your seminar in Bangkok (I was the short fat useless kid) and witnessing you smash Tony around the mat with immaculate Gao throws, I really wish you would compile a guide to these throws as an extension to Effortless Combat Throws.

I read on another thread that you thought there were only 30-40 core techniques in Bagua. Would it be possible for you to do the world a favour and actually detail them in a book or DVD? I was just thinking that since all of Luo's students I've met (you, Ed and Aarvo) have all been such cool people, it would so great if you could have a reunion and record the essentials of the system on DVD...

The seminar in Bangkok was great, by the way. (^_^)

Thanks Kris,
I think perhaps my teacher will get around to making comprehensive tapes of the Gao style sooner or later (although I'd be up for a reunion with my "brothers" anytime).

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all the guys that came to my seminar in Bangkok, it was a great group.

Thanks especially to Erik LaPort for setting things up and his student Tony for all the help and transportation.
