Hi Tim,

I was wondering about your experiences/opinions of Liang style Baguazhang compared to Cheng, Yin, etc., and your time spent with Zhao Dayuan? Did you learn any Liang style from Zhao Dayuan?

Thank you,
Edward

Hi Edward,
Liang style is a combination of Yin and Cheng styles.

I never studied with Zhao Dayuan, although I did spend some time going over some of the techniques in his Chin Na book before I translated it.

Did you meet other Liang stylists as well?

Also, are the qinna techniques all from Liang style Baguazhang? Do they basically overlap with that in Cheng style?

Thanks,
Edward

I met several Liang style practitioners.

Liang style has qinna techniques. There are actually paired chinna forms. I think all chinna techniques are basically the same.
