Park Bok Nam barehand and weapons forms

Tim's Discussion Board: Ba Gua Zhang : Park Bok Nam barehand and weapons forms

I'd like to know if Park Bok Nam teaches, at high level students, traditional barehand and weapons routines (as in the major part of bagua styles).
Thanks a lot,
Mauro Sgroi.

He has a website. Why not just contact them directly?

Yes I will contact them, but I'd like to know if someone on the forum has experience with the Park Bok Nam's system at advanced levels.
Mauro.

I used to study with Park, and supposedly, the final form he teaches is a "standard" empty-handed bagua form (meaning that it's seen in other lineages). His feeling is that the final form is merely a formality, since by the time you get far enough in his training to learn that form, you've already learned all the content it contains.

I know for a fact that he teaches a straight-sword and a spear routine. I received some spear training and a bit of broadsword (dao) instruction while working out there.

Thanks a lot J Lin.
If I will have the possibility I will go to one of master Park's seminars here in Italy to see him.
