what is the Bagua stepping method, how is it different from the stepping method's in other internal arts

Well it just means you are able to strike, throw, and grapple from movement and enter close range at angles where you are twice as strong as you opponent. Up until Bagua came to the scene, most martial arts were based on toe-to-toe fighting. Whereas, Bagua is primarily guerrilla-warfare for personal combat.

While Tim is the best source to answer your question, there is no one ba gua stepping method. Different styles of ba gua offer different methods, even within that style.

The natural heel toe step is used in some systems, as well as mud-steeping and crane stepping, each for it's own training purpose and application. This list is not all inclusive.

I believe it is different from other systems in the way that it strengthens your body, especially mud stepping and crane stepping.

I love how he says right off that most people over-theorize Bagua Zhang walking... and then spends 5 minutes over-theorizing Bagua Zhang walking.

I was also impressed with how out-of-breath his is after demonstrating a kick. The guy is classic.
