Tim,Do you know where Jerry Allen Johnson got the baqua form that he attributes to CCFin the first baqua book he did.Your teacher Lo Te-Hsiu obviously does gou style. Is that a set that comes from Chang Chun Feng's lineage or not and if not do you know it's origin. Thanks,ED H.
I have no idea where Jerry got his forms from. Luo De Xiu's Gao Style Ba Gua comes from Zhang Jun Feng. Zhang was one of a handful of Gao Yi Sheng's indoor students.
Regarding the forms by JAJ, I thought that it occurred to him in a dream when he took refuge in the mountains (of San Gabriel). But, most of it he learned from an unidentified mountain mystic/hermit while he was in the mountains.
The animal forms he learned from watching bugs, insects, and animals catch their prey and defend themselves from larger predators.
This is how all of the great ones learned their forms.
Sorry, Tim. I couldn't resist. This is a great site!!! Keep up the good work.
