Respect for stepping up to fight again Kelly.

Your takedowns looked good. If I could make a suggestion? I'd recommend working with a boxing coach to help you with your hand skills.

Why does the ref stop the fight after a few seconds when it goes to the ground?

I commend you too bro.

Tim is right, boxing skills would help, it looks like your head got stck in the right corner and he caught you with a beng chuan.

i think if the fight went to the cards you wouldve had it.

Im a subscriber to BT on you tube so I saw this already.

cheers. hit me up if youre ever in san diego, we can train together.

I think you have about 15 seconds to submit your opponent when it goes to the ground in this competition.

Not sure though.

Who won? Kelly, did the fight get stopped?

Why didn't they interview you after?

Well done for getting in there and working your techniques. It was nice watching both fighters, and also got to give props to your opponents striking... But I'm a bit confused at the interview where your opponent is making fun of your shorts, considering that he was wearing a pre-modern era Chinese robe.

I think kelly was going for the "bruce lee" look, with that black speedo, and black gloves..

Craig, I thought both of their get-ups were pretty funny. xD

It's like some guy that dresses up in Dungons and Dragons role play costume making fun of someone who dresses up as a power ranger (minus the body suit and mask).

Also, the outfit is not a "kung fu" outfit as Kelly's opponent claims... it's just pre modern Chinese clothes that use to be worn by everyone of that time period, some of which happens to practice Kung Fu.

From a strategic point of view, Kelly's shorts make a lot more sense, as sweaty upper body and legs make it harder to get a hold of compared to clothes. This for me makes Kelly's shorts a lot less costume like. With a robe like that, if you get the guy on the ground you have the added benefit of using the skirt of the robe to tie the guy up or choke them... the added benefits of training with a Gi.

But its a speedo...

No it's not... Speedos are y fronts, not shorts.

Theyre still spandex...

It was kind of like watching two superheroes fight.

The right was between the ghetto Bruce LeRoy and the unmuscular George Saint Pierre.

The black samurai vs. the american ninja.

Haha so I posted this up here then forgot about it. It's been forever since I've regularly posted up here. Thanks for the ideas and constructive criticism guys. Tim they allow roughly ten seconds on the ground on the manup standup tournament as its meant mostly to promote standup arts and banging out. This is my third fight in their tournament. I have a rematch to fight yahuda in either February or march and our next one will actually allow unlimited time on the ground within the restraints of the three 5 minute rounds. I've been working a lot with some guys holding focus mits for me lately and trying to get my combinations better. I'm also frequenting a jitsu class which is being a lot of fun and I feel is helping my cardio improve.

Timber I lost via standing knock out. I was able to stand back up but neither of my eyes would open up and I could form words lol. I was pretty much asleep standing up. I ended up with a cuncussion and was throwing up after the fight lol.
