Hi Tim,

Could you explain the application for Part the Wild Horse's Mane in Sun Style and why the way it is describe in your book "seems' to be done differently then the way it appears in any of the video/dvds including Madam Sun's?

You enter inside the opponent's right arm (off a straight punch for example) and step the left foot as far behind the opponent as possible, until your left hip and ribs are in contact with the opponent's right side. Extend your left arm straight across the opponent's throat, shift your weight to your left leg at an upward angle then turn left a little to throw the opponent onto his back.

"the way it is describe in your book..."

Not my book, Sun Lutang's book.

Ofcouse, I mean no disrespect to either of you.

However are the moves for Part the Wild Horse's Mane the way described in the book different then the way it is done today for example like Sun Jian Yun does it?

The way it reads to me would seem to indicate it is.

Thank you for the description,is the application left side and the same going to the right side before you go to the head strike/butt?

Right, the application is the same to the left and right.

The description of the form in Sun's book is basically the same, although there is no picture of the arms extended posture, only a written description.
