Mushin,

The basic application is to parry one of the opponent's hands down and then strike straight up his centerline with your elbow, connecting below the opponent's chin as you simultaneously knee him in the groin.

I don't have any plans for a Sun style dvd.

Yes, Tim still does not have any plans for a Sun style DVD even though many people have suggest it. Take heart Mushin, perhaps one day it will happen, and maybe it will end up being a double DVD box set covering Sun Taiji and Bagua :-)

I suggest it regularly.

The good news is, his Standing Grappling DVD is nearly ready for market and it's friggin' great.

application for Spinning Lotus Kick, please
and maybe Uniting Yin and Yang as well if possible

By Tim on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 - 08:35 pm: Edit Post

Spinning Lotus Kick:

You and your opponent have your right feet forward. You strike with your right hand at his face, the opponent blocks outward with his right hand. You grab his wrist and pluck (jerk) his right hand to your right as you kick him in the kidney with a right outward crescent kick. Then you step your right leg behind his right and wrap your right arm around his neck, throwing him onto his back with a right back heel trip.

Ti Shou Shang Shi is a method of moving outside the opponent's arm to cross him for a push.

When applying Fair Lady Works the Shuttles, the first three movements are used to check outside an incoming straight punch, move in to push or throw the opponent from the side. The fourth movement is a simultaneous cover and palm strike against a hook punch (much the same as the basic application for Xingyiquan's Pao Quan).
