Hi, I just wanted to say that Chen Pan Ling is in fact Old Yang style. Its true that Wu and Chen is present. However, it is closer to Yang style. My teacher was a disciple of Y.W. Chang. Y.W. Chang was taught by Chen Pan Ling and Chen Pan Ling was on the committe that was working on the forms. According to my teacher, Chen Pan Ling form is more representive of Old Yang Style.

Wow! There seems to be a whole lot of Erle bashing here. I am not one to write in to forums but after I saw all this bashing, I was sort of disappointed. A person might not believe what another says or claims. In an age where anything can be put on the internet and said by those trying to trash another's reputation, true or not I would like to think the opinion's could be a little more unbias. Has anyone of you, except for the man who has known Erle for 14 years, ever met or talked to the man? If not, I would like to think you would go more on facts than just what you think you understand or heard. Just imagine if all that has been said by him is true and he is capable to perform them. Think of the possible valuable source of info and knowledge you might be missing. I for one would not judge till I saw first hand what he is capable of. This is just my opinion.

Florida - what's your deal, I went through superman shool, but to say anyone in any of the other special ops programs are lesser than another really bugs me - we all shed blood and lost friends whether rescuing people (mostly my job) or doing the things the Marines/Navy/Army does. I don't know if you read anything other than the funny pages - but pick up Black Hawk Down - everybody was there doin they're job.

You said it Haircut... there is nothing wrong with interservice joking, but to plan out say one is better than the other... never flew with me. They/we all are have their specialties and are all experts at their service's mission. I don't think a SEAL could do a Combat Controllers job, and a Combat Controller sure ain't coming out of a sub under arctic ice... They all have their missions and kick ass.
