Please look at my latest article on passing the guard in a free fight situation at:

Tim
Hey Tim,
Nice artical!! I liked the part about base meaning dynamic balance, I think lots of people forget that your in relation with anouther person, and that you need to be responsive to what they are doing! Also, I liked the crushing gaurd pass, I think I learned something!
Thanx
Chris,
I'm naming that pass after you.
"the broken staff"
Chris pass #1. Cool!!!
Tim,
congrats: very nice stuff!
I immediately adopted the article in my training (as a matter of facts I'm one of your fans..) but I found difficult the second evasion from the guard(pushing away a resisting opponents's leg with my right hand): a smart partner finds easy to interpone his right arm and escape.
Will you ever produce a comprehensive book about grappling?
Hi European,
My partner and I have talked about doing another book, also focusing on one aspect of the ground fight. I doubt we'll ever try and write a book that could be considered "comprehensive" though.
I'd say that presently just about every grappling techniqes known is somewhere on a video tape though.
