Hi,
I need some help. I trying to improve my defensive skills, and I now relize I need some basic holds and pins. I'm getting a security type position "taged" on to what I do currently at my work place. I'm going to be escorting people in and out of the company that I work for. I really need how to so some basic holds and pins, just to immobilize a person. I really do appreciate any suggestions. Classes are out of the question, unfortunately.
Thanks.

I've studied a lot of combative arts(wrestling, boxing, kickboxing, BJJ, Judo, boxing and NHB) but, oddly enough, the arts that I've used most are traditional JJ, Aikido and Dumog(FMA).

As a schoolteacher and bouncer, I've often been forced to use "come-along" locks to carry students out of the class or to throw rowdy drunks out of the bar and clubs.

Classes would be ideal, but maybe you can find a friend who studies traditional JJ, Aikido or who has been exposed to Chi'na of Traditional Chinese Martial Arts. All of the locks are pretty much the same.

Videos and a partner is another option.

You can even find an experience wrestler who is familiar with "hand fighting" and the Russian 2 on 1.

I'm sure any JKD school who incorporates Dumog(FMA) would be willing to give private lessons also.
