Across uncle Mey how many times do I have to explain where parts of the world are in relation to the USA to you. I am sure I could open up a can of wup ass on a person who can not even read a map. Or would that be cruelty to animals.
Don't bother trying to teach him geography, qui... Mey wants to fight anybody/anywhere/anytime ...whether they live in England... or China... or Iraq.
(btw - as long as he can wear all his protective clothing and play by arbitrary rules, to keep his pretty face intact)
Come to think of it... if he wants to fight everyone so badly - why doesn't he just enlist? Dubya seems like he can really use a few extra hands right now over in Eye-raq? Bet Mey would make a great Marine... and he'd really like basic training with all those nice drill sergeants!
Meynard pretty LOL you are joking right. Not even meynards own mum thinks he is good looking LOL. Okay lets get off the meynard is stupid and ugly thing as he may get upset. This is a martial arts forum and not a meynard bashing forum.
Please be advised I'd fight with no gear, no protection and no rules.
You want to bash me. Come do it in person and not this cowards way of being passive aggressive behind your keyboard.
I dare you! Respond like children and bad mouth me some more behind your anonymity, but we all know you are both simple gutless cowards.
"Please be advised I'd fight with no gear, no protection and no rules."
Is that offer open to anyone?
Is that a challenge or are you hiding behind the legalities of "he can down here and challenged me... so I had to defend myself with my gun or 5 friends".
Make it clear
"rumbrae",
Does your Mommy know you're causing trouble on the Internet again? If she finds out, you'll lose your 'puter privileges for a couple of weeks, plus, she may ground you from your "Dungeons & Dragons" club meeting. Bummer...
On a more serious note, the current cadre of "Unregistered Guests" (you know who you are) are moving this post in a distasteful direction; insults and veiled challenges do not contribute at all toward the learning or developmental processes associated with IMA / MMA. Certainly, you would have more credibility if you became registered users and contributed dialog of value.
The anonymity you currently enjoy is only an illusion. You have it to the extent that no one has decided to find out who you are. Were one so inclined, the technology to do so is cheap, relatively easy to use, and commercially available to anyone who wants it.
Posting on a public site is a privilege, not a right, and I'd like to see all of you lose yours. The only intent any of you display is to create conflict and disharmony; you are trolls.
It says no rules.
Now you want a rule? Make up your mind.
FunJohn, you are too serious. A statement was made, can't one ask for clarification?
Meynard, the questions weren't about rules, can't you read? I'll repeat them again:
1) Is that offer open to anyone?
2) Is that a challenge or are you hiding behind the legalities of "he can down here and challenged me... so I had to defend myself with my gun or 5 friends".
It says no rules. read.
Fun John,
email me.
rumbrae, that challenge is open to anyone. Meynard won't shoot you or stab you as long as you don't bring your guns or knives. He will have a one on one match, no rules if you like. His friends won't jump you, so don't worry. Just come one down to see what Shenwu is like. You actually don't have to fight anybody, but I think once you have seen the training in person your opinions and attitude will change.
Hey, I was never against Shen Wu. It appears you guys have a great club which is capable of forward thinking. I just like to challenge it and ask questions.
The first reason is to learn more if that is possible.
The second is probably because I have seen illness in the martial arts world probably more than I see illness in a clinic. In a clinic, bacteria, viruses, mental illness, trauma, auto-immune diseases and other factors lead to disease, but in the martial arts world, the most common diseases I have come against are ignorance, jealousy and egotism. Martial arts makes people strong and with that strength and ability acquired through the dedicated practice of it, it should also lead one to be a more centered calm, individual. Often, what I see is weakness of character come out in certain individuals, despite their training. Petty jealousy, rumor mongering, "one up manship", thoughts of "we're the best!", silly challenges, violence, and threats run amok in the martial world.
Is this what martial arts does?
rumbrae,
Sometimes. But you'll find petty jealosy, rumor mongering, one upmanship and silly challenges in all walks of life.
In all sincerity, like Koojo said, if you are ever in our area you are welcome to come and visit us.
Fun John,
read the achive thread and you will see it is a regestered user that was the first to make internet challenges. Meynard and koojo and others often 'invite' (that is puting it mildly in some cases) people to come to shenwu for challenge matches. Fun John I make no secret of what tournements or seminars I will be attending if people what to fight with me do it in the ring in comp. That is not the only place I fight but that is besides the point. Your post had very threatening overtones but I am not intimidated by internet bull. So if you want to come to the comps I am at I will post you a full list. If you want to track me down and try to fight me on the street do that instead. But be careful who you are calling internet warriors and fake fighters because It is not always the case. As for dialogue I do not need to add anything but tell you to look at other threads and achives. Just because I do not tow the party line does not mean I have not contributed to disscusions.
Meynard,
you dare me now that is not very mature. Yourself and will ford were the first to question my views without basis just because of where I am from. People in glass houses springs to mind. That this decended into petty name calling though I do regret. And called for it to stop. Apologies for any offence caused. On my part at least it was meant in the spirit of good natured banter. As for your challenge I will reiterate what I said to willard ford. I have no imediate plans to come to america though if I do I will definatly plan a trip to shenwu. However it will be to learn as xingyi and bagua are both fighting styles I respect and wish to learn.
Don't worry Qui, this is the internet and it's all BS and poking fun.
If you want to be taken seriously you should at least post your real name.
What annoys me about a lot of posters is that they talk a lot of because they can be anonymous.
Put your good name behind your words.
In this way when you do visit Shenwu you'd be met by friends.
Not me. If I ever met qui I'd show him who the real Shogun of Harlem is!
Who's tha mastah....
If an Apple computer was fighting a PC would it still end up on the ground?
Here's my question:
Why is it that anytime there is a death match challenge, it's always at my place?
