Tim,

When actually reaping the leg of an opponent, is there any different set up requirements? I have a bit of trouble using my leg to sweep while executing a throw but have no trouble with two feet rooted while throwing. Any advise would be helpful

Chad

Chad,
Probably the most important element in a leg reap is to make sure you have broken the opponent's posture or balance before you commit to the throw (since you must balance on one leg and he will be on both his legs). Once you lift your leg to reap, it is very important to keep pressure on the opponent so he cannot right himself before the reap occurs.

Thanks Tim,

I think I have been treating leg reaps the same as nomal throws. This helps alot! Thanx.
