Hi Tim,
I've been reading some topics about something called "invisible Jiu-Jitsu" that Rickson Gracie and some of his instructors like Luiz Claudio are teaching/promoting, and I was wondering if you know what that might be? Is it actually different than say other people's Jiu-Jitsu? Or is high level Jiu-Jitsu essentially the same with the details being minor?
Cheers,
Craig
Basically, Rickson's "Invisible JJ" is his interpretation of the underlying principles of BJJ and how they apply to all techniques.
The principles are the things you can't see (hence "invisible") but make all techniques "work."
In my opinion, Rickson is the greatest living practitioner of the art, his seminars are relatively expensive, but if you practice BJJ and have a chance to attend, I would highly recommend going to one.
Thanks for the explanation and advice, Tim.
