Disappointing fight card choices with Metamoris IV as they seem to be heading towards a WWE style programming. Click below to read more...

Chael Sonnen is not a disappointing choice for the main event. He will draw more people to watch it than....almost anyone else you would prefer to see except maybe Anderson Silva.

If it weren't for Chael entering I never would has heard of his event. I might even go to LA to watch and train with Tim a little. All positives.

Also, the information on your blog is inaccurate. Chael Sonnen was suspended once for having a high testosterone level after he destroyed Anderson Silva at ufc 117. Testosterone replacement therapy was legal at the time and up until recently. He retired after a failed drug test but the test found BANNED substances and not performance enhancing drugs. The two drugs found on the test were estrogen lowering drugs. Chael Sonnen has never been found to be using peds. Please update your blog with the corrected information.

Josh Barnet, on the other hand, was found to be using steroids multiple times I believe.

You're a mature one. I'm glad you're a representative of bjj.

Henry Akin's has some strong words about steroid / PED use in our sports and arts...

Oh and Timber... I "represent" nothing. And I refuse to take directions from a little Chinese kid talking his smack half a country away. I could give a fat baby's ass what you think

You're kinda tall so everyone is little compared to you. I refuse to take directions from a tall white guy who lives where ever you live.

My post was accurate until yesterday. You were dead wrong and just plain ignorant of the existing facts of the time. Chael was caught with human growth hormone from his June 2014 drug test. PRIOR to that he had ever been caught using PEDs. Don't give me attitude because you're "facts" were biased by your dislike of the man.

I like how you always resort to immature insults when because you lack good debating skills. Bravo.

I disagree.

I like the card and cannot wait.

If it was just bjj "stars" nobody except bjj people would watch it. Including stars is a good strategy to:
1. Make more money
2. Bring greater awareness to the event
3. Make new and more diverse fans.

An interesting side nite is that Chris Weidman(current ufc middle weight king who best Anderson Silva) almost best Andrea Galvo(spelling?) with only about a 1.5 years of training in bjj. This was one of the alleged reasons Anderson Silva refused to fight him since Galvo is one of his bjj coaches and probably told Anderson to avoid the monster force known as Chris Weidman.

I am saddened that Sonnen was using peds and caught because it prematurely ended his broadcasting career.

It was a greet might of fights although I admit I'd rather watch mma than straight up grappling. My man Chael lost but it's all good. You win some you lose some.

Would I purchase another metamoris ppv? Probably not and here's why. It's too expensive. $30 is literally half of a ufc ppv event. The commentating was nice and aid back which was perfect for this event. My two main issues were the price and the 9 minutes of filled repeat video they played inbetween each match. Personally, I would have rather had the matches go on one after the other without having to see the same footage of grapplers giving their take on living life.

All in all a good event. If they keep bringing high profile fighters in then maybe that will be enough to hook the casual grappling watcher.

The production quality was top notch

I saw this but didn't think anything of it till I read the article. Chael went to shake Renato Laranjo's hand and he acted like a little b*tch and didn't shake. Wtf. In co
Petition you shake the hand of the competitor from the other team. It's a tradition in fight sports and this guy broke it.

Would you guys agree that Andre Galvao should try his hand in a Greco roman competition?
