A new format to BJJ tournaments. Spread word, bring BJJ back to its roots!

I watched the video explaining the point system for the JJWL, the rules look virtually identical to the rules for the IBJJF (including no heel hooks, no reaping the knee, no stalling etc) except you get two extra points for a grand amplitude throw and two less points for top mount.
I can see rewarding high throws with more points may encourage less guard pulling (but probably won't in reality), but how else will JJWL tournaments differ from the regular IBJJF tournaments?
Have any governing body considered disallowing jumping into guard as a way to encourage more take down variety?
Tim,
Sadly, in all likely hood... just like Rickson's "new" league, the only difference between this and the IBJJF is the Brazilian getting the final check.
Lol! Ah well, at least people are thinking about old school fighting BJJ.
Craig,
Compared to the double guard pull, jumping into guard is a step in the right direction.
That's true. Nothing lamer than the double guard pull, chipping away at BJJs original combative roots.
