Can you tell us a little more about this book? Oh, and what's with the "Brazilian Jujitsu Champion" tag for you on the cover? Is that the stamp of authority readers look for these days?
You can't beat "Tim Cartmell: Brazilian Jiu-jitsu champion"!
Richard,
"what's with the "Brazilian Jujitsu Champion" tag for you on the cover? Is that the stamp of authority readers look for these days?"
You'll have to ask my publisher.
Congratulations Tim,
That is a great way to start the Chinese New Year. The standup grappling dvd came out last month and now the new book. That is a super start to the year. Elizabeth and I are real happy for you.
The Tim Cartmell book corpus is getting pretty big. Lets see, you have been involved either as an author, co-author or translator on
The new chin na book, the old chin-na book (the one with the Bejing cop or cop teacher,) the xingyi exercise book, the shuai jiao book, Sun Lu Tangs taiji book, the BJJ book Passing the Guard, Effortless Combat Throws, and was there a book with the Tru-Balance video program?
In any event that is 7 or 8 books; that is fine body of written work. And I have thought very highly of all your books and videos. I am a big believer in books, long after all of us are gone, and long after the videos and vcds and dvds are unplayable (like 8 track tapes)----the books will still be there. And that is a great legacy. Congratulations Tim.
Take care,
Brian
All this makes me wish I wasn't illiterate.
Good one mate,
How about sending out free copies to everyone on this thread?
Maybe we should all send Tim money for lettin us play on here.
i have a compromise. buy the book.
then Tim will get some money, and you will get the book.
A fine solution!
