Interesing, but basic, site on Korean Folk Wrestling (Ssireum). Anyone have more sources for info on this art form?
Thanks
Jake

Yes.

Some people thinks it pre-dates Sumo.

I have an instruction tape that shows all the techniques and training.

Solid throwing concepts share by every type of traditional wrestling.

Several Korean wrestlers have entered MMA with mixed success.

BA,
Is it the tape from Dragon Door? I have it too. Great stuff!
Who were the Korean cats in MMA?

I don't know about Dragon Door. I'm sorry I can't remember all of the Korean names, but here is one:

The first takedown is one exactly like the ones they do in Ssireum, but with the belt. He grabs instead under the butt cheek.
