I have missed you the last few times I went to OC. Broom has kept me updated about your whereabouts. I am off to the Master & Senior again, Broom wussed out again! I am now under weight, but hurt my back early this morning (can barely walk), but Dr. J got meds for me to help the slip/bulging disk in my lower back. I am looking to get therapy on Thu & Fri here in Bako, so hopefully I can train at Macaco's when I arrive in Sao Paulo on Mon. I will train with Breno & Gracie Humiata when I arrive in Rio one week later leading up to the comp. Still got two weeks before comp which is to happen on Jul 26 & 27. I entered Brown Belt for Middleweight & Open Division. I hope I am able to go without restrictions by the time the comp comes around, we will see. Next time I come to OC (maybe Aug 8-10) I want to do privates & train at the school. Hope all is well with you & Shen Wu students.

Good luck with the tournament (but I don't think you'll need it, how many times have you won the Worlds now?), I hope your back is healed up by the competition.

Yesterday (Sat Jul 26) I was able to compete in the tournament in the Brown Belt Middleweight & Open Divisions. I won the Middleweight Division & took 3rd in the Open Division. The guy I beat in the Middleweight finals ended up winning the Open Division (he was on the other side of the bracket from me). I lost in the semifinals of the Open Division to the champion of the weight division above me by the score of 0x0 (1 advantage x 0 advantage). I was happy that I was able to compete thanks to Dr. James & others. Back is sore but much better than before. Today the black belts go at it all day. Hope to see you soon!
