This is from a clinic Steve Mocco just put on last month. Some of you may have seen him in this summer in the Olympics. He is my favorite wrestler, although he doesn't look much like a muscled up wrestler, he is very good and I was hoping he would win a medal, but he came one match short. He is also a former Judo Jr. National champion. He really focuses on the "ju" of wrestling. technique oppose to muscle. I learn many little details that will help my clinch and handfighting.

Creating an angle, passing the elbow and head circle, windshield wiper, snapdown and intro to Collar and inside elbow control (very subtle)

Collar and inside elbow control (very subtle) and arm drag (notice how he blocks the leg from a squat instead of going to a knee)He puts emphasis on not only changing your level, but your opponent's level(weighting the leg) He also talks about the not staying head to head/ear to ear and creating an angle during handfighting.

Here's him teaching the "Russian" 2 on 1. Very fine points about body position and control. Focusing on controlling the body not the arm and using the head to pressure.

2 on 1 to knee pick, step on foot and pulldown from 2on1(sneaky), extending the 2 on 1 arm on the pulldown instead of taking it straight down (I didn't know that one...makes sense), 2 on 1 to "baseball slide" or legswing, 2 on 1 to what the Russians Sambo guys call "the bull" or head in the chest

2 on 1 to rear takedown/valley drop, hip pressure, ankle seizing,

Underhook counter to 2 on 1(what I do 90% of the time) and other common underhook setups(you probably know), key point...use your hips! Throwby (good simple move...not used enough), inside trip

Front headlock from over/under, 2 on 1 sacrifice rear "russian" legswing takedown,

Famous "Mocco" Footsweep.
