Any suggestions for custom made mouthguard companies? A lot of them out there seem REALLY pricey ($150-200). Anyone have good/bad experiences, relate stories, have suggestions??
Thanks
Jake

I got one from my dentist 12 years ago. still have it. $150 is the going rate, and they protect both the lower and upper jaw, which the other mouth pieces apparently don't do. I'm not a dentist so I dont' know how much truth there is to that.

Personally, I find it easier to breathe through the custom-made mouth pieces.

There's a bjj guy on the nhbgear forum whose also a dentist, and he was running a special for $50 a while back. do a search over there and see if he'll help you out. I think people were sending him molds which he made mouth guards out of. Everyone seemed satisfied.

Oh, $150 is still the going rate, at least here in NM. My wisdom teeth are still coming in, so I need a new guard.

Try Bulletproof Mouthguards. Guy named Joe Rice, 949-933-9994.

He's here in Socal. I have never ordered from him but I heard good things. Most of these guys are not dentists so they are not allowed to take a mold of your mouth. They supply everything and instruct you how to do it. weak.

Its becoming more popular to order one thru your dentist.
