Yo so in this first clip there is a lot of talking in the begining but at the end and throughout the other three, it really showcases it. What are your guys' thoughts on this? I think it is kind of cool that he has developed some "katas" of sort to practice for the ground.

I give them an "A" for effort!
Basic ground techniques and live rolling/sparring are pretty much all you need if you already have a solid stand up delivery system(with "live" sparring).
The technique isn't perfect, but it's a start.
Or you can practice ginastica natural.
Sprawling, bridging and hip moves are basics of wrestling and BJJ.
Ginastica Natural is an excellent system for grapplers and fighters, for an idea of orthodox wrestling drills and more advanced solo mat training, here are some suggestions:
