A friend of mine sent me this link. I guess this caper was all over the Taiwanese media for awhile. It does show a bit of Taiwanese cop judo (o-goshi or tai-otoshi). The judo part is just in the first few seconds out front of the betel nut stand. I have mixed feelings about Taiwanese cops so I will not comment on the "street justice/use of force". I hope and presume that neither the betel nut beauty or the cops got really hurt.

He's probably just pissed that he gets his ass handed to him every Judo class by the same yellow belt during Randori.
watching the initial part of the clip, I thought the cop was being a jerk.
watching the pre-throw build-up with her slamming the phone puffing up and screaming at the cop, filming him and then slapping him, I thought "bitch betta reckanize"
it seemed a bit excessive- but if she was a man of the same size and carried on the same way, it would've seemed just like a cop taking down an major a-hole. (granted- I don't know if she was rightfully upset and maybe the cop deserved her shouting in his face... but it looked like a ho who'd been spared a pimp-hand too long).
at first, from the screams I thought it was a clip of a cop throwing Yoko Ono.

Well, 1 perspective is it's difficult to cast judgement with a lack of context... but surely the department taught the officer some restraining techniques that would be more appropriate for the situation. I can't imagine that the Taiwanese polices first line of action in this type of situation is using Tai Otoshi on a skinny women, even a skinny man of the same size.
I find throwing a girl right off makes it hard to get her number. But maybe this technique works in Taiwan...
That was an entirely appropriate technique and totally justified based on her actions - provided the initial contact was justified. At least it would be here in the U.S.
He should have done it sooner, based on her actions.
What many, many people who have never been involved in multiple arrests don't realize is that the wristy/twisty stuff DOES NOT WORK against highly resistive people of virtually any size. Takedowns and body control do.
Takedowns and body control also result in LESS injury. Trying to repeatedly arm or wrist-lock a resistive person fighting against the lock has a nasty tendency to get them to break small bones in their wrists, etc. especially with small frame people.
Often, those broken/damaged joints have NO effect on the resistance. They are felt later, after the adrenalin (and drugs!) wear off, and then the lawsuit comes.
Wristy twistys are great for the semi-compliant people who need a reminder that things could get worse. The ones who CHOOSE to comply because they don't want to face the consequences. This is, thankfully, the vast majority of arrests.
For people as aggressive and resistive as she is - straight to takedown.
I am pretty sure that isn't Judo but Shuai Jiao. The Taiwanese police force train in that for "Apprehension techniques" and is a part of the course work at their police college. And the officer was actually being quite gentle, the throw when done normally would have had her airborne.
The woman should not have attacked the polce officer: 1. Because no one should be attacking anyone and 2. He's a cop.
I think it's strange that society/societies allow women to attack men with no repucussions but if a man attacks a woman it's all over for him. The singer Chris what's his name comes to mind for attacking Rihanna.
most folks agree Rihanna had it coming-eh,-eh,-eh-eh
