Interesting. Silva is a humble man.
Stevie has been pounding the tall boys from the looks of it!!! Really kind of sad actually.
On a side note... Archer, Silva was one of the nicest guys I have met from the martial world, and honestly was extremely gentle when demoing techniques! Very controlled and strong, don't get me wrong! But was probably one of the most gentle martial artists I have touched hands with. Super nice cat. I was a bit disappointed in his show boating last fight.

I think Silva is a "true martial artist". Like Rogan said, he is the real Bruce Lee. Who knows what got in his head last fight. I honestly believe it had a lot to do with his estranged father suddenly coming back in his life. Nonetheless, it takes a real man to be so humble with someone like Seagal. He truly showed the "beginner's mind".
And if Silva beats Sonnon with a kotegaeshi, Seagal will become the next Greg Jackson.
So until now I didn't know that seagal is a martial artist with some genuine knowledge(albeit theoretical, looking from how much he has stacked on) and not just a has-been action actor.
I'm no serious martial artist but the way I see it as a bridge engineer is this: it's true you won't trust a theoretical physics professor to build bridges - you let a practicing engineer does it. But a practicing engineer can come to a university seminar on an obscure theory in,say, creep-deformation physics, and pick up a thing or two to improve his bridge design.
That's a good point!
