Any Judokas here know this?

I've been working on it all summer. It's tougher than it looks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wDaj1gtQNY

if that guy named Uke could speed up his attacks he'd probably win once in a while.

gotta hand it to him though, he can look reality in the eye and deny it.

Backarcher,

As I understand it, NNK is suppose to teach the principles for 5 different categories of throws; Hand, Hip, Foot, Rear Sacrifice and Side Sacrifice, and the principles for entering into them. There are 3 techniques demonstrated for each category serving as examples.

The fall for Yoko Gake in this kata is especially rough, and the grappling postures for Sumi Geashi are the way they are, in the kata, because it was intended for wrestling with armor on.

All true, Craig.

I didn't know that about Sumi.
