Man sysop, your really getting to be a "rule" Nazi

Listen Chris;
There is a thread for ROSS. All you need to do is a search first as common courtesy to keep each thread on topic.
What does ROSS have to do with this subtopic Tim's New Power Training Book? ? Nothing. He should have created another thread somewhere if he couldn't figure out there existed a ROSS subtopic or if he wanted to ask multiple questions on different topics.
I've seen Tim have to answer the same question over and over because of this problem.
We might as well not have topics and subtopics if we want to discuss everything under one thread.

Please do not reply. This is a statement.

Since it is a statement it is the rule. That's right Chris...who's your daddy? Sysop is your daddy!

Maybe I spoke to soon. I just caught this one early. I see the "Old Masters of CMA" thread has gone to Hell in a hand basket. They are talking about Gurkha knife fighting.
Can't catch them all. Half of these threads I just spot check because they bore me. I try to have people self-police themselves.

I just upgraded the board. The last version wasn't working properly for the last several months and I couldn't enforce rules or manipulate threads.

I see I have Meynard trained both on the board and in the Academy.

I know Meynard is going to have to say something. So guys, do what you think is appropriate.

Puh-leez! You slam me for an on-topic question and give some of the other flakes that come here carte blanche?

My intent was to find out about the status on Tim's upcoming video on Power Training Methods.

Since it is in the same vein, it made me think of the Sonnon stuff, and I wondered about Tim's thoughts on it.

As I see it - and since I commented on an apparent relationship to Chinese methods - IT IS TOTALLY RELEVANT TO THE DISCUSSION AT HAND.

Apparently he didn't have a problem answering it.

Boards like this are organic - often the best exchanges develop from a tangent people have gone on. So long as it is related, let it be.

This kinda "letter of the law" thing kills participation from the very folks that offer substantive discussion. Dont let what happened to E-Budo happen here.

Doh!

I missed the part about not replying....

Dang!!

You obviously didn't read anything I said and never read the Terms of Use document.

I also have another life that doesn't involve this board. I go days without looking at this board.

I don't always understand the threads to know if they are going off topic. But, one of the main reasons was what I stated above that you didn't read.

SysOp,

Can't Gurkhas be considered dangerous masters? If so, then perhaps some of 'em are old (?)... uh, er, sorry if I helped to ruin a thread (unlike Meynard, I needs more training).

Hey Mike;
I went back and glanced at that thread. I guess I don't know what CMA is. Please tell me what it stands for. Eveybody always uses acronyms that I have to figure out. I must have guessed wrong on that one.

Hey Chris;
A little to much Shaoxing wine before writing that post? "Time" didn't send me your request.

You didn't miss much. A couple of guys from Tim's started chattering about when to meet for workouts on a thread that was intended to just ask for workout partners.

They didn't want to E-mail each other, so, one asked for a private area they could chat it up without boring the rest of us.

Nobody signed up so I removed it. Sorry, no secret closed door sessions going on in there.

SysOp,

A reading lesson is in order for me... methinks CMA means Chinese Martial Arts... I goofed -- sorry.
