Tim's Discussion Board: The Flame Room: Wow, what a loser...

jason m. struck, the everso prestigious man, just look at his shiny certificates! and plus! hes trained in china!!!

now what would trouble a such a prestigious man so, that would cause such an uproar within himself? i am baffled. me, robert, the 21 year old sandiego street kid with dreams of becoming a martial arts teacher some day, was it something i said? i know that sometimes i can come off as a know it all, and even repel the very same people that i am trying to speak with. it is a bad trait of mine which stems from the desire within me to be great, you know what they say, desire is disease. on the other hand, im just like you when it comes to wanting to learn from great people such as sifu tim, i just lose hold of my ego and my tongue sometimes.

tell me jason, do you consider your self a teacher? an influential man? good enough to recive pay for your services? then why dont you act like one? i highly doubt your character. your attitude speaks volumes of the kind of person that you are.

go ahead and trouble yourself with trying to belittle me, if it satisfies your mind, feel free, because no one is being affected by your trivial persuits, and it is actually quite amusing. the only thing that you have put into motion by your childish actions is the degeneration of your character.

dont defeat yourself.

Are you mocking me b/c I know CPR? or b/c i trained with 'shaolin monks'? It wouldn't be the first time I guess. The Redcross stuff was my webpage designer's idea. It does look silly. But, I don't claim to be anything that I am not.
If you look through some of my posts in the past, they are followed by comments from other respected members of the board's complete conncurrence. Literally, search my posts. They are followed by things like 'i agree with Jason' or 'i couldn't have said it better'. Actually, while I was watching the game and compiling some of your posts, I came across one where Chris(whom you made fun of), Tim (whom you disagreed with about CHI) and I answered some questions you had about strenght training, and your reply was "By robert on Thursday, September 08, 2005 - 01:31 pm: Edit Post
hey thanks for the reply guys."
granted, you were probably talking to them, and not me, but I was the one that answered your question in a specific and constructive manner in the most detail.

Dude. I tried to be gentle about it. Hint. More than once.
Go and read some of those posts. They are hilarious. I really was trying to be a gentleman for a while. Do you even read the threads that you reply to? Do you read your own?

honestly, I am a college student. I carry a laptop around a lot. During breaks, I love to check out this forum. A lot, honestly. Having this argument with you is still fun for me, so I will continue as long as it stays fun.

Robert,

don't call him "sifu tim" because you're not Chinese and "sifu" does not mean what you think it means.

True on the Sifu thing
It really has a conetation of"Technique Coach"

LaoShi is probally a corredter term having a much more "Philosohical well Rounded Knowlege" conotation.
but in Taiwan and China I belive the manner that it is insited on and used by many schools in the USA makes it kinda cheep and unsincer.
Most (save one) of my teacher from asia just went by their first name or mR. ___.
I did have a teacher that was addressed by everybody as LaoShi and his wife was ShirFu but his was purley a sincere and loving title in reverance to his being 800 years old and have a 29 year old wife. Also his Tai Chi wwas incredible and he never, ever, never would ask any body to call him Loashi or even most often implyed that he preferred no title. And alway introduced himself by his nickname "BOB".

but if we should title Tim I think
Master Imminanceof the Universe All KNowing all seeing Kahuna guru the great, Champions Imeritus- woiuld be okay

laoshi just means teacher. you call your elementary school teacher that, or your professor that. Sifu is the one with the connotations, and it's the one that most legit chinese instructors stay away from.

I think robert and jason should be demoted to tiny tiger ranking with the rest of the 4-5 year olds.

Enough with your pre-pubescent hairless cock fighting.

charles... we should hang out sometime and watch movies.

i thought sifu meant master teacher, or someone who knows what they are talking about. just a sign of respect, but youre right, i dont know what it means and i meant nothing but respect by it, mr nitpicker.

jason, whatever man, if this arguement is "fun" for you you need to get a life, and devote more time to bettering yourself rather then worrying about other people thoughts and issues. unless youre a clinical psychologist.

this will be my last response to the ever so prestigious jason m struck, keep up your training, im sure youre very, very skilled.

hmm... i wonder, are bob#2 and mr jason the same person?

keep wondering, Nit wit.

A friend of mine once said 8 out of 10 martial artists are dick heads, with persona problems...

A common saying I hear from dudes that don't practice or have anything to do with MAs say "martial artists are wankers" etc. etc.

There is a lot of bitching in the MAs as well, sometime we ask our selfs is it worth it?

"sometime we ask our selfs is it worth it"

Mr Jason may have multiple personalities- But I promise I am not one of them.

The modern day meaning is just a boss or someone who does soemthing well!
