txhapkido,

Yes, the (sheep-shooting) practice was resumed (at least by the late 80's or early 90's).

txhapkido,

Wars are well planned, far in advance. Between 1971 (when the plan was to ease out of Vietnam) & the late 80's or early 90's (when the plan was to prepare to invade Iraq for the Gulf War), the US military suffered greatly in their general recruitment & training (I was mostly active from 77-to-88 & I saw how poor we were made to be -- by design); and the only actions outside of special forces type actions & embassies falling left & right (plus the US pull-out of Vietnam), were the fiascos with the USS Mayaguez (sp?) & the posture taken in Beruit (a set-up, if not just foolhardiness), plus the invasion of lil' ol' Grenada: no wars for oil (or other resources) & political power (although Grenada was over eliminating some economic competition in the Carribean). During that period, ol' Bin Laden & Saddam H. were our CIA-connected "friends" whom we supplied with things like Stinger missles & chemical weapons (& as typical with government, they want it all back now -- but handed back in a friendly way... so they say).

We didn't get well trained then (nor were we well led in the upper ranks), so we didn't fight -- or didn't fight well. Now troops are being trained better once again & they're being used all over to fight -- as they were trained to (but their VA benefits will be both cut & kept somewhat "secret," else they may actually use the ones that are left for them when they return home: shhh... mums the word -- for it's economics: make the country poor in order to spread the political influence of a few & to grab resources for them, but don't spend much on those who get wounded helping these rich, powerful folk do so... oh, the country-becoming-poor part fits in with power-grabbing later on).

Cut the crap! Who really believes that anyone can hit a pitbull with a phoenix eye fist? Maybe if the dog was tied down in a heeling position I would believe it, but this is utter horse !

I was in the Phillipines last year and my cousin and I had an encounter with a dog gone mad. My cousin stepped up to take care of the situation, the dog charged and my cousin hit on the head with a pipe. The dog dropped and got back up immedietly and tried to bite him again. Don't tell me that somebody's phoenix eye fist can pin point the head of a charging dog...Unfuckinlikely! I'm not even talking about a pit bull. It was just a crazed mutt. So please spread your bullcrap where it will do some good.

I hate these dumb stories!

It makes me feel like slapping the crap out of the story teller.

Hissho, My old sifu rarely spoke of himself and when he did, it was usually self-deprecatingly. I can't imagine him lying about something like that, but I didn't know at the time that pitbulls were so impossible to kill. You make them sound almost bullet-proof! When I worked at a state prison, I saw a convict's file in which was described his escape from a juvy facility years ago in which he kicked 2 german shephard police dogs to death. The only dogs I ever met that scared me were rottweillers and I encountered a bull mastiff once, it was unreal. Now that you mention it, the pits seem to have a similiar heaviness to their skull structure. I have wrestled with a monitor lizard weighing over 100 lbs in the past whose jaws would put a pit's to shame, but he was just trying to get me off, not eat me. How do you compare a pit's toughness to a shephard or doberman?

I guess you don't mind getting junkmail and crank calls. What moron gives out all of his information over the internet like this? Shheeesshhh. Why don't you add your social security number, and bank account while you're at it? I knew you were a dumbshit. Your post just confirmed it.

Woohoo!!! I'm picking fights again. Alright I'm heading off to a Barnes & Noble.

You are obviously right about the junkmail. I'm proud to have been a part of honing your online combat skills. I leave for Tennessee tonight for about 2 weeks if that makes it any more convenient.

I'll be in Chattanooga. Let me know in the next 8 hours and I will pay half your airfare. Please feel free to bring your Glock.

LOL ! You can meet my Glock in person in California.

Like a fish; you can flop around as much as you want, it's too late, you've been had. I've already put you in the cooler. So chill. Try again next time.

BTW I hope nobody reading signs you up for a bunch of useless crap. They do have all of your information to make your life miserable. I hope people are not mean enough to play a prank on you. I mean they should feel sorry for you for being so stupid. It'll will be kind of interesting to see what kind you get. The funny part is that you put your information up voluntarily! LOL!

Rubbing salt on the wounds...

Kenneth Sohl,

In my opinion, you're now sounding very unsound.

Hopefully you're just feeling perturbed & blowing off some steam; if not, then you need to slow down & realize that you're setting yourself up (like finding out that your worst enemy right now is your own self... think about it):

Someone mentions he's not in a good mood & doesn't like something you've written, & mentions that he would like to slap you. Rather than ignoring such, or making light of such, or just stating simply that one is entitled to their own opinion, (avoiding/diffusing possible conflict -- & perhaps making something fun for us to read), you issue a vieled challenge (or a veiled acceptance of a veiled challenge -- depending upon one's viewpoint) & then escallate it all with a comment about bringing a firearm. Whoa, dude!

If anything were to happen now (& say you survived, but were detained by law enforcement), then you could not claim self-defense (you would almost certainly be convicted of a crime). Were you the poster who wrote that self-defense was for losers? If so, then you may want to re-consider. Besides, before your escallation, if anything were to really happen (which I doubt), then at worst you'd have a little slap-happy sparring session; but now...

I thought the point of your earlier posting was to appreciate what you might be up against before you stand out as a target (i.e.: if I were to stand out as a target right now, would I end up in a pillow fight with a group of babes like in a Jackie Chan movie, or will I have an A-10 Warthog unleashing it's full arsenal my direction as in Iraq right now? This first senario may be a good thing, but this second senario is most definitely not a good thing) -- right?

So what did you just do? I believe you just figured out that the guy in a bad mood was an owner of at least one Glock pistol & you suggested that he bring such to meet you (offering a time & location for such a meeting). This definitely isn't anything like senario number one. But do you remember senario number two?

...you at least (& at best) just set up a deadly duel (& this ain't self-defense). I doubt Meynard will pay any real attention to you; but if he were a nutcase, then you could have set yourself up to be murdered (or you would have set him up to be murdered -- or both... none of this would involve self-defense, for any attack would have been provoked).

I know that some people just don't care about this sort of self-defense stuff, while others do; if you care, then perhaps consider this the next time around.

hey mike,
what do you mean, "if" meynard were a nutcase! hahahahah, did you see how many guns he owns! god I'm just glad we were spared the list of his knives, tim would have to buy more web space. Hey kenny, I'm sure your a tough guy and all, but it's not too sharp to go around posting silly things. specially when you know most of the guys on the site like to fight, and carry weapons

oh hey have you guys seen my profile, man i look good!

By Kenneth Sohl on Monday, March 24, 2003 - 05:17 am: Edit Post

Chill Mike, I don't think anyone is going to go plan a trip cross-country just to get into a fight when it is so much easier to sound rough and tough online, do you?

By Kenneth Sohl on Monday, March 24, 2003 - 05:26 am: Edit Post

I give even Meynurd more credit than that. I've seen so much online fighting on some of these websites that I thot I'd push it to a conclusion, and it ended up pretty much the way I thought it would.

By Kenneth Sohl on Monday, March 24, 2003 - 05:27 am: Edit Post

Everyone be good, talk to ya'all later when I return.

BTW Meynurd, all those people sending out useless crap already have my name, address and phone# just as they already have yours.
