Tim,
What is your experience with Chiropractors? Do they vary in quality and legitimacy as much as internal arts teachers do? I'm asking because I went to check one out today and got a weird feeling from the place. The main red flag was that they seemed to be doing the hard sell to get me to join their program. The first 2 visits where the check up and dignose the problems is free, said I was highly advised to bring a family member or spouse along to the 2nd visit to make it easy for me to work out things like scheduling and finances... Should this be a sign to run the other way? I've never been to a Chiropractic practice before, so I don know what the common practice is.
In my experience, you need to be careful with the hard sell. The place you went to sounds like marketing is their first concern.
I would advise asking other people for recommendations and visiting several doctors until you find one you are comfortable with.
Craig,
If you're in Southern California I know a great chiropractor.
aside from that- most of them suck and it sounds like you're smart to recognize the red flags.
Shane
Thanks for the advice, Tim. They did seem more concerned with marketing.
Thanks for the recommendation, Shane. Unfortunately I'm no where near the west coast.
Craig
What state are you in?
Many chiropractors(not all) do the same adjustments on everyone regardless of they need it or not.
I've had 7 chiros in my lifetime. 6 out of 7 have been great. All different, but great.
Timothy,
Please check your PM.
