how do you guys train the ability to find it within yourselves to attack or hit someone who is becoming dangerous to you and very ciolent and agressive amd block the fear out? Like if they are walking closer and closer and getting in your face and might be about to hit you how do you bl;ock out the fear that you might lose and fight himd espite all the risks involved? Cause most ppl on forums seem to say when someone is within hitting distance and getting in your face u might as well lay them out rather than risk getting blind sided? but they never explain how to motivate yourself and train yourself to block out the fear to be able to do it.

The reason I ask this is I was driving through town enar the bars tonight and saw a guy with a bloody nose wlaking away while this very agressive looking guy was taunting him and syaing "sey something else" and following him around waiting for an opportunity to hit him again and I felt fear just looking at the agressive guy and probably would have reacted the same as the guy hit with the nose casue the guys eemed so intimidating. how do you not get caught up or intimidated by very agressive people and be able to hit them without waiting for them to hit you first?

If you need to fight, you hit him right away. If you don't need to fight, you leave.

Need is a differn't thing for everyone. For me it means that they threaten my exsistance, or someones I care for. For others it means losing face, or a girl, or something else.

Sooo true. But even the fear of losing one's existence can unhinge your mind and make you lose focus. That fear can even drive one to take up unhealthy and dangerous methods of training.

Interesting to note that many martial arts in different cultures all over the world seem to encourage having a spiritual belief that in one way or another seem to teach them to believe that their attacker may destroy their bodies but they can never destroy the essence (soul, spirit, whatever) that makes them who they are.
Such beliefs serve to create a fearless warrior. Such a warrior is more focus and more efficient and more at peace with himself and therefore others.
