Can you let me know if this article has been translated into English...and if you know where I can access to the English version?

The article is attached to the 4th message on this thread. It's supposedly an article by WXZ's daughter about yiquan/zhang zhuan?

**might have to cut and paste the entire link into your browser :-(

Thanks!

It's titled: "The Origins of Stance Holding for Health and its Evolution."

The article talks about the benefits and important points of the practice. I don't know if this particular article has been translated into English, but it looks like a fairly straightforward and common piece on standing practice.

Again, for Tim or anyone:

Most everyone here knows the 'internal/external' concepts of force, movement, etc. However I have heard of an alternate use of the terms (possibly diferent words in chinese). Internal meaning that the art originated in China, and that external refers to arts which trace their origins outside of China such as the Shaolin branchs said have origins in India. Comments?

The paired opposition of nei/wai - inside/outside - is a kind of fundamental opposition in Chinese culture. It shows up in almost every domain of thought, whether it be medicine, family relationships, politics, martial arts, etc.

A good book on this sort of thing is "The World of Thought in Ancient China" by the late Benjamin Schwartz.
