robert, go to DIVX.com and download their free player. It plays most formats.

After you've installed the player- you may have to 'right-click' on file and 'open-with' DIVX.

Those conspiracy 9-11 things are laughable. Most of them were created by people who weren't even here, and have absolutely no expertise in law enforcement, investigation or terrorism.

Just listen to this guy...."this building could stand thousands and thousands and thousands of degrees of temperature for days if need be." Does that sound like expert investigative journalism to you?

Sure people have questions. We have questions because the government did a lot of dumb things and could have stopped it( which is even more tragic), not because they engineered the thing.

Feel free to voice your own well researched, expert opinion.

Steve,

It's my belief that the truth of matters is revealed to those who seek the truth. As far as the research, it's already been done by other truth-seekers.

In addition, you personally wouldn't stop anything that you wanted to occur. So what makes you think the government would do anything different.

You ott to conduct your own research instead of basing your opinion on a knee-jerk reaction. Explore the objective facts. Read about thermite, Building number 7, the testimony of those who actually witnessed what happened. Turn CNN and Fox News off and do some really hard thinking about what occurred that "tragic" day.

This might help you get started:

"As far as the research, it's already been done by other truth-seekers."

Which means you only believe what you read from THEM, as opposed to what you read from anyone else. It's amazing to me that all you conspiracy people can somehow argue the most basic, reliable facts when they are presented from mainstream sources because you supposedly have some "superior standard," but will believe the most ridiculous ideas that are just suggested by these so called researchers.

To take one simple point, Giuliani is supposedly some criminal mastermind because he allowed the metal from the buildings to be hauled away. Like what, he somehow was going to hide tons of burning wreckage? The fires lasted a month. The debris pile was taller than some of the buildings down there. Firefighters and recovery teams searched through that stuff for months in broad daylight. What in the world was he, or anyone, trying to conceal?

"You ott to conduct your own research.."

And besides reading a bunch of half baked web sites, what have you done? I watched EVERY SECOND of the broadcasted 9-11 hearings, for an example. Did you?

"Turn CNN and Fox News off and do some really hard thinking..."

I didn't need to watch CNN or FOX to know about what happened. I live here. That's another hilarious thing. All these supposed "truth seekers" live nowhere near this city, but somehow have done all this great research.

And truth to tell, most of you have no investment in what happened here anyway, other than some morbid fascination with it all. You don't know about the people who died, or how the people in this city were affected, but you claim to care more about "the truth" than we do.

And if you can somehow put parentheses around the word tragic when the deaths of thousands are discussed, then regardless of your supposed dedication to the truth, or your supposed greater knowledge, you've lost your sense of humanity.

"You don't know about the people who died, or how the people in this city were affected, but you claim to care more about "the truth" than we do."

". . . all you conspiracy people . . ."

You have a terrible ad hominen arguement here.

I use paranthese around "tragic" to quote you and to punctuate the point. Because what could be more tragic than either allowing something so tragic to happen in order to achieve your own interests or orchestrating it yourself

But you did mention something very interesting: "The fires lasted a month." Ponder that for awhile. Why would that fire last a month? Could it have anything to do with this: http://infowars.com/articles/sept11/thermite_id_culprit_wtc_collapse.htm

The twin towers fall straight down to their respective foundational footprint because supposedly from structural failure due to fire melting the steel. I mean, I'm not even a civil engineer or physicist, but that seems a little odd. No? Maybe?

Building 7, undamaged by a projectile, collapsed symmetrically in 6.6 seconds, just .6 of a second longer than it would take an object dropped from the roof to hit the ground.

C'mon Steve. Are you going to tell me that this guy didn't do his homework: http://www.physics.byu.edu/research/energy/htm7.html

As far as I'm concerned, it's people like you who don't ask the hard questions and who rely on the so-called official story who are really doing a complete disservice to this country.

'I'm a New Yorker. I was there. I know what really happened (as I watched it from my apartment in Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island).' Give me a frickin break.

its a conspiracy, were all gonna die, lets all go to china.

By Stephen Ott on Tuesday, June 06, 2006 - 11:46 am: Edit Post

No, morbid peope like you, who want to turn what happened to a real place and to real people into an episode of "24" are doing a disservice to the country. How dare you question my patriotism or what I do for my country? Another example of the arrogance of the position you take. What have you done, other than watch a bunch of poorly produced videos on the internet? You think I can't know more about this event because I live here? Then what are you advantages for living in the middle of nowhere and not knowing the city or the people involved?

There are questions. Big ones. But they center around real questions of problems with our law enforcement and intelligence, and how this event has shaped our country, and has been used, not the ridiculous ideas you are trying to push.

I don't need to advertise to the world how much I researched this event for real, and learned on my own, without being led by the hand by someone. I have researched plenty. And I know the legit and illegitimate questions. You, apparently, do not.

What really kills me about this, is that the conspiracy theorists end up making it hell for anyone to get real answers, because the public equates genuine dissent and skepticism with being a lunatic.

I can't argue physics with a PHD( who watched some video tape of what happened and drew his own conclusions). But I can look at one of the events he was speaking at and guess the legitimacy of his positions.

Your boy, Steven Jones( Solar cookers? Ah..I digress)was speaking at the same event as these people:

Byron Belitsos-Who is going to help me build a financial lifeboat when the world order collapses.

Brian Bogart-Who explains that America has hardly ever been by the people, and is going to help me deal with destructive capitalism( with what...communism?).

Larry Burk-Who is going to explain how mass hypnosis was used on 9-11.

Joyce Lynn( my personal favorite)-Who will help me use DREAM GUIDANCE, that is, using my own dreams, to "tap into the collective unconscious."

That speaks for itself.

Let me tell you another little story. I was at the second 9-11 memorial at the site, and there were four of five of the "truth seekers" there with their banner and their pamphlets, shouting their brains out during the memorial service. Now there's class.

Be a skeptic, but be a compete skeptic. Why are you letting these people lead YOU?

By Zim Zum (Unregistered Guest) on Tuesday, June 06, 2006 - 01:40 pm: Edit Post

I smell a red herring and more strawman arguementation. I don't question your patriotism. I guess blind patriotism is better than none. Instead, I question your intelligence and critical thinking skills. The fact that you are either from or lived in New York adds no credibility to you as an authority on what happened on nine-eleven, especially since you weren't in D. C. or Shanksville, PA either. As far as this random list of names, I don't remember mentioning any of these people in my prior posts. In regards to an "episode of '24'", I assume you are referring to a television show which I am completely unfamiliar with and have never seen.

So while you are entitled to your opinion, which I may respect but completely disagree with, I would suggest sticking with facts and empirical data when attempting to argue your point.

Anyway, enough of this for me.

Ciao

By Stephen Ott on Tuesday, June 06, 2006 - 03:03 pm: Edit Post

Here's a tool apparently no one shared with you in gathering "empirical data." It's called a mouse. I clicked it three times to find out who Steven Jones is, what he does, and where he speaks.

http://www.911truth.org/911rtt/events.html

It's a for profit organization that goes around selling tickets to these "events." The credibility of many of these speakers is highly questionable.

As far as being here and knowing more, I don't know. Isn't that like rule no.1 in journalism? Go where something happens? And since you spoke to NONE of the points I raised,I guess this blind partiot has learned something.

If you don't know what "24" is you either never watch TV or...perhaps don't live in the states? That adds a whole new dimension to this discussion, doesn't it.
