Can't wait to see. It's hard to bet against Royce, given his history, and his contribution to the sport. However, he's a dinosaur. I am afraid that Matt will be a better rounded, better conditioned fighter. Will it matter? I think so.

i'm pretty proud of my training with Maurice Allan. He's a fairly well known and respected Judo coach here on the east coast. I also am very glad that I trained in 'shaolin' style kung fu in China. It was a great experience. Am I qualified to referee a UFC match, or can I predict the outcome? No. But I enjoy following the sport, and have seen the last few major fights of both competitors, and it's my opinion that Matt has a great chance of winning.

Some of my other past experiences are less credible, such as the Ba Gua 'master' in Houston, who taught me some bullshit wushu forms, or my tenure at a ShaoLinDo school in Atlanta. But I know what they were. I also think I recognise the value of some of my more recent training, and the value of Matt Hughes' background in MMA.

I am sorry I made fun of your posts before. Could you please just stop. I really don't like the name calling, and I think it's kind of a lowlife move to use a word like 'faggot' as an insult. I'm sure you didn't mean to insult all gay people by calling me that. Why don't you call me something else, like coward, fake or troll.

I think Matt should stay on his feet and use purely boxing and Muay Thai. He has a lot of time to prepare for it. Stick and move.
Royce doesn't have much of a striking defense.

A good wrestler usually has the option of choosing whether he wants to stand or go to the ground against an inferior takedown artist.

I think Royce should spend the magority of his training time training on the clinch.

Whoever wins the clinch most likely will win the fight.

Matt has perfect structure for Royce to submit him. Yet, Royce relies on a lengthy set up. The UFC rules may not give him the time for that.

I'll just enjoy the fight and hope no one gets hurt.

To me a stiker looks more like V. Silva, Chuck Liddell, Cro Cop.....oppose to the Karate Kid.

Cro Cop would have a great shot at Gracie too. His pride match with Vanderlei showed off his ability to defend takedowns, and get back up off the ground.

I know Royce Gracie will beat Matt hughes, because i trained with Royce in Feb and he is one bad ar*e.. The reason i know this is because i thought i was tough until i met Royce... Respect to any man who comes up against him, But will loose.
