after watching many ultimate fighter episodes I came to realize how low class ruffian it really is. The fact Tito Ortiz has a girlfriend whose a pornstar speaks for itself. And the fact a coach basically beat up his own student in one episode cause he felt disrespected because "he was tlaking shet" like a junior high kid or some prisoner or someone living in the ghetto would. etc. etc.

There is a pretty big variety of people involved in MMA. You are right in that the public persona is colored by an unfortunately large percentage of "immature" individuals.

Thankfully there are still people like Randy Couture, George St.Pierre, Matt Serra, Rich Franklin, Nate Quarry, Evan Tanner, etc to counter-balance.

But I think there are a lot more guys out there doing tradition martial arts and boxing with stripper/pornstar girlfriends. I was a bouncer for years. I know.

It's just a segment of the population.

Just because Matt Hughes is a born again christian from the country, it doesn't mean all fighters are. Just because Pedro Rizzo is a born again christian from Brazil, it doesn't mean all MMA fighters from Brazil are that way. Just because Randy Couture is..."Captain American" it doesn't mean he represents the life style that all fighters live. Just because Rich Franklin is a devote christian and former school teacher with two Master's degrees it doesn't mean all fight are like him. Just because Charles "krazy horse" Bennett has been to jail over 20 times it doesn't mean all fighters have a criminal record. Just because female fighter Rosi Sexton has a doctorate and went to Oxford, it doesn't mean all female fighters are that intelligent.

You can't make generalizations like that. Not with intelligence and common sense.

It's just a slice of society. Please don't fall into the trap so many uninformed fall into.

harsh? nature is harsh. In the wild male horses, deer, bears and even dung beettles battle each other because only the strongest will be accepted by the female to procreate... an inescapable biological drive to strengthen the species.

fortunately for guys like you, human women often recognise wealth as power or strength. Beavers have been documented as the only other species where the female is lured/wooed/fooled by a weaker male with shiney objects. (which is why 'Beaver' is a popular slang term for a vagina, and not suprisingly why Beavers were nearly hunted to extinction by lonely men in the 1800s.)
