Beautiful.
I like the Daido Juku format.
Very nice! How are these guys different than Kyokinshai? Obviously the rules are better, but I meant art wise (guess I don't know Daido Juku)?
Thanks
Jake
Jake, as far as I know, the guy who started it was a Kyokushinkai and Judo black belt so he mixed the two and added techniques from sambo, Muay Thai etc. There is ground figthing but no striking on the ground, I like the use of face masks, less chances to end up getting a new nose, but still allows for contact.
looks like a very effective way to train!
i like the guy who "pretends" to stomp the other guy.lol.
The rules aim at minimizing injury, but maintaining realism.
For example, if you obtain the top mount position and throw punches to the head, no contact is made, but you are declared the winner, by "simulated" ground and pound.
The guys in the clip all had beautiful technique.
Hey does anyone know where to get that kind of headgear?

Tim I think the material of that face mask is foam, so it will break in a very short time. There are this ones which I think is like sinthetic leather but pricy.
