By Mark Hatfield on Monday, February 18, 2008 - 11:12 pm: Edit PostThey were most likely real , BUT, while they are humorous, remember, the filmer doesn't show you the tapes of people who knew the answers because that isn't entertaining, or let the viewer feel superior. They don't tell you if they had to film 10, 20 or 50 people in order to get 1 who did poorly. Now suppose, they said that they had interviewed x number of people and y percentage knew or didn't know the answers, that information could tell you something, but it would not be as entertaining.
Remember the old commercials of a taste test using butter and margarine. A friend of mine tasted the samples and could tell the diference everytime. They did not use him in a comercial.
