anyone learned this style? I find it compliments bjj a lot because its like bjj but standing or where you throw a guy and are standing while he is down and you want to sub him or hold him in an awkward position for him while you are mobile on your feet. Like for instance instead of doing a kimura and getting down to a side mount you would drag him around with your shin against his arm while holding it and put your knee on the back o their elbow joint. I wish someone in mma would use both and techniques from both because they are very similar and interchangable. They really both deal with what to do with the opponent after a throw.

I studied traditional JJ for many years. Very good against "passive" resistance (police/security)and not so good for aggressive resistance.

One instructor asked me why I taught more wrestling to LEO than the traditional JJ. I told him why. Then, I asked him to do some handfighting and pummeling with me and he could use any "traditional" joint lock and/or throw against me.
After about 30 minutes of trying he said..."Well, it doesn't work against wrestlers".

Enforcer, find a school. Get good. Try it in a MMA setting.
