And it was a pretty positive experience doing a few month stretch actually. Not in the sense that I enjoyed my time in there but in the sense it taught me how to be a more patient person and be able to mentally overcome challenges as well as realize what you are truly missing as a free person. A lot of people become depressed and hate life but until they've gone to jail they wont realize the little things of life like looking at tree leaves and the breeze they appreciate and miss.

The other thing was I enjoyed meeting some of the characters in there. ALmost everyone was either innocent or barely did anything in their minds or was blamed for things that they didnt do. Often also they would flat out lie or omiss factors about their cases to make themselves dound or feel more innocent or to hide embarassment. One guy claimed for instance they got him on a fleony dui but he was sleeping in his bed when a cop burst into his house without a warrant and told him to go outside to only arrest him all based off a phone call from his ex girlfriend that she reported him driving drunk while he was tucked away in his bed. Another guy first put it on blast he was there for not registering but when realizing there were only a few sex offenders in the pod compared to many gang drop outs and medical/crazies and suacidals he changed his to a dui.

There were also a few white guys who acted like they were in a car and in prison and ran everything like they called shots but that first felony dui guy who is also a gang drop out and did 12 yrs total told me straight up it was a pc pod and they acted like they didnt know where they were at. Every man for himself and no cars in there. It was also funny how when I started showing him muay thai he would say "man you got some heat" but still think he could beat me and everyone else in there but when I tried getting him to spar he would say "well give me some coffee first... your hyped I wanna get hyped to first." and always got me to give him my cantean/store coffee that way. Another small asian guy pretended to know wing chun and muay thai and despite the fact I dominated him in palm strike and light sparring every time and taught him some clinch he still also felt he was the best. These guys would never admit to losing or of someone being able to beat them no matter what you showed them or did to them. Anyway more to come later...

Almost everyone in that county jail was either a meth addict or experimented with meth. They brought his one guy in who looked like the bearded/long haired guy from heat with the ss lightning bolts (except he had short hair and the bolts were on his hand) to my cell as a cellie despite the fact they had two open cells free. The guy who did 12 yrs before and was a drop out befriended me and he said they wouldnt put anyone usually with that guy (who we nicknamed the big man as he was quite big with huge bones and fists) or him because of the amount of time they both did and the way they are used to doing time convict style, but they did it because the girls dad who I tried meeting was a cop (that is what one of the guards told me).

He told me straight up when he came in that he was looking at all day (prison slang for life term) because they were investigating him for a murder where a guy was shot with the house burnt down not far from where he lived. And he got into that pod because he has an older sex case he did 6 yrs for where he touched a 14 yr old girls breasts saying "you wanna act like a whore so Ill treat you like a whore" as she was doing meth along with her family and him at some party and he said "to tell the truth I wanted to hit that because she was kind of hot and I should have f@ked the bytch because I would have got just as much time as I have in the end." He also told the guards he wants there and he's just a sex offender when they tried to put him in the high profile cases pod and gang member pod and said "we heard your not just a sex offender but a bad ass." and he told me he replied "nope, I'm just a sex offender." so they put him with me for a while but I kept asking for him or me to be moved and although they didnt let me at first when he asked they did.

Also the same guard who told me the girls dad was a cop a couple of times went inside the pod and said "there is a big rat in the house" while looking into the shower and that was slang for him warning someone in there was getting 411 (or info) to give to the da.

There was all kinds of weird and interesting
"> going on I learned about from that world. to be continued... Oh and the big man as we called him said he was a nazi low rider but not active anymore and when he hit the main yard in prisons he always confronts the shot called about his sex case with a shank on him and they let him a pass (partly due to his capabilities inn violence and history and year sinside the system). He did crazy stuff from the late 80s like shoot at people in stores (to miss but leave bullet prints) and only doing few years for.

Since Im a bit drunk I might as well continue...

I am not sure if I mentioned him or not but there was a guy named Robert there for the first month with me (half the time I ended up doing) who had an LA tat on his head and some other tat on his neck. He was Mexican and a south-sider dropout. I want to mention him because he was the first guy who came to my cell to check me out and get to know me along with my at the time cellie (the Mong asian guy) who kept trying to make himself feelgood about the sex shet and bring others down and got later jumped and as I was leaving was trying to lock himself down so "the big man can't get him."

A funny story I was told while outside on the "yard" with a few guys from my pod was how 'Robert' followed a guy named "Cory Croft" who the guy who did 12 years just called Croft and ever time the 6 foot 2 inch Cory Croft traded a bunch of coffee or similar stuff for breakfast he would say "Croft is doing big things this morning ain't ya croft" and Croft kept saying ""> yea" all the time. That was his trademark reply (I think I mentioned this already).

And anyway... Croft told a story how Robert followed him all the way home from a gas station because he looked at him wrong. HE all of a sudden showed up in front of his hbo9use as he was getting out of his car and said "what the hell were ya looking at?" and "ya got some problem" and Croft said back "lets handle it here if ya got a problem" extending his chest. It's hilariopus how Robert walked all the way to his hosue to start shet. Oh and he was the one who told me when I asked if this was pc wasn't it that "yea but we dont run it like that" referring to himself and the asian Mong guy. and later got transferred to LA county.

He also told me how he blacks out in a fight or when someone disrespects him and just cnat concentrate or think but starts swinging. ANd I showed him some emditation techniques to tech him to control his emotions. He wanted to learn the "thai stuff" as he rederred to muay thai a lot. The Mong asian guy was afraid to show him anything due to his violent nature (he didnt even know anything himself just watched a few movies).

Oh and Robert looked like he had aids or something. He had black rings around his eyes constantly and red dots over his legs and body.

He also always kept talking about fighting o the fights he's seen or been in at that county jail. Like on that yard he was telling a story how he saw this old guy fight like an irish boer or pugalist with his arms extended and all of a sudden started throwing magic tricks like some hand waves at the other guy while circling around him and staying back. It was hilarious the way he shwoed it. He was like dancing around throwing hand waves at the other guy. And he also slapped the curly haird guy before I got there.

The curly haired meth addict I was told got slapped by him and spat on and also the mexico mexican (Paisa) mustached guy who told me he was a cage fighter in the 90s got backhanded by him sopposevly before I got there as well. He was showing me scars on his fists and eye brow from the cage fights he's been in (not robert but the guy he backhanded) and said he did it in modest and back then you ddin't need a warrant or much skills or even to be a citizen.

Oh and I am not sure if I mentioned this but there was this locked up pure mexico mexican (paisa) who was so crazy he would act like a cat and start jumping over his tray and onto his bunk and lick his paws and would pick posion or what he thought was poison out of his food and think the guards are trying to poison him.

Maybe I'm getting old but anyway
"It is as if there are two wolves inside me. One is good and does no harm. He lives in harmony with all around him, and does not take offense when no offense was intended. He will only fight when it is right to do so, and in the right way.

But the other wolf, ah! He is full of anger. The littlest thing will set him into a fit of temper. He fights everyone, all the time, for no reason. He cannot think because his anger and hate are so great. It is helpless anger, for his anger will change nothing.

Sometimes, it is hard to live with these two wolves inside me, for both of them try to dominate my spirit."

The boy looked intently into his Grandfather's eyes and asked, "Which one wins, Grandfather?"

The Grandfather smiled and quietly said, "The one I feed."

I don't think quaint tales of grandfathers selectively starving wolves is what is needed here.
Besides- a half-starved wolf will beat a fat wolf any day.
