What does that translate into in terms of martial training?

I've never practiced it.

Commonly referred to as Tu Na Si Ba, Li Gui Chang's group really puts an emphasis on these exercises. In my personal opinion some of the best / strongest Nei Gong exercises out there. Martially.... not much direct practical applicability.

Hope this helps.

Jake,

How is Lui Gu Chang's nei gong different from the nei gong in Xing Yi Nei gong?

And what exactly is the si bu fa tu na breathing technique?

Nei gong training IMO is much more about getting in touch with your body, learning to breath, gaining a general overall body awareness, and lets not forget the massive chick following on gains;)

I am not sure it would be appropriate to credit Li Gui Chang with creating the set (I have not been able to get that info), but his version of the Tu Na Si Ba has four sets of exercises, and none of it is very physical such as some of the movements in the Nei Gong set from "Xing Yi Nei Gong."

You breath in your nose, into your lungs, expel out your mouth.

Cheers
Jake

Thanks, Jake.

You had mentioned above that these were some of the best/strongest nei gong around so I though you meant in terms of physically demanding.

Timothy,
No, not at all. If you want something physically demanding lift weights, wrestle, condition. There is no Nei Gong exercise that I know of that would even come close to replicating the results you would get doing physical conditioning.

Definitely agree with you on the physical conditioning.. I do nei gong for health preservation.
