Tim,
When you studied with Master Xu, did he teach a specific method of hip rotation for generating force?
I am doing research into force generation methods and where they started. I have found three distinct methods and the one I do is the most rare.
Thanks!
Youre so full of yourself bro..
Robert,
After much deliberation, I have decided to respond to you.
Why do you think so?
Why do you come down so hard on this guy, Robert?
He's interested in Tim's time in Taiwan with Hsu Hong Ji. There are some people in this world who still believe that it is special to have studied with an authentic Chinese teacher(I'm not one of those that cares about that).
I am mainly researching for historical purposes.
"I have found three distinct methods and the one I do is the most rare."
That's why...
Oh, now I get it. I missed that part.
Andrew, what is this rare way of generating power at the hip? Please describe it.
Andrew, Im just giving you a virtual noogie.
xD
Why are you coming down so hard on him Timber?
it's a simple statement of fact. In my experience, it is rare. There is no value judgement there.
What I do is a reverse hip rotation instead of a forward. Basically I snap the hip backward when the punch is going forward. I don't see it very often, and that is why I call it rare. Not better, just rare.
-_- ... I think youre confused.
Snap your hip backwards?
Is that like some kind of secret longfist form or something?
nope, Xu Hong Ji taught this method for hip rotation in power.
Okay bro, hope it all works out for you
