I was at a local full contact event a few months back. There was a Brazilian dude that knocked his opponent out with one hit/ the first hit. He used a Pi Chuan so devasting I almost spit my beer out!
Everyone in the arena was talking aloud and wanting to know what that was, that is when I realized how and why Hsing I has such a reputation.
I have never in my life seen someone use a Pi Chuan so smooth and effective.
Watching that dude has made me re evaluate the way I practice.
There are always two factors to consider when evaluating such an event: how good was the winner as a fighter and how good or bad was the loser in comparison? Techniques, no matter how effective rarely win fights on their own.
