Song Shirong, nickname is "Yue Zai", was born in Beijing in July,1849. He died in September, 1927. When he was 17 years old, he moved to Taigu, Shanxi province and opened a watch repair shop. In 1867 he met Li Nengran over there and started to practice Xing-Yi Quan. Later he focused on internal harmonies with the feet(stand firmly), Qilin sword and sixteen elements. He is the creator of Song style Xing-Yi Quan. His disciples included his son,Song Huchen; his nephew, Song Tielin; Jia Wengao, and Ren Erqi etc.
