Back to the hand in the armpit exercise... like Tim said, it stabilizes the body, but something else is there. Many times (although not every time) I lower my arm from my armpit, there is a significant "crack" in the elbow as it straightens.
Although I cannot describe the energy pathways well enough, there seems to be some build-up, then release, of energy in the inactive arm that is channeled through the armpit from the active arm - to the elbow of the inactive arm... an interesting, and I believe significant effect.
Anyone else notice this... comments Tim?
I don't think I've ever stood close enough to you to hear it. Does it sound like this -" "?
Bob#2
You certainly can hear it bOb2... but first, you gotta take your elbow out of your ear - it'll help.
And if you still can't quite hear it, you live too far away... I live in China now - so come on over if you want to listen to my qi flow... (and if you like Chinese food?)
"so come on over if you want to listen to my qi flow...(and if you like Chinese food?)"
I wouldn't go Bob#2. This sounds like a gay code. An invitation... wink, wink...
Gay code? I'm happy. I don't get it.
Sorry Bwuce and bOb2... but I only let my wife share my qi (BTW, she's a Bagua Babe, and might get real pissed and would start walking circles around me if I try to share with youze guys - even if I was so inclined)
... but, if you ask pwetty pleeze, I'll let you listen (to my elbows!)
gregybn, yes I've noticed the same thing while doing that excersise. I thought it was just me, thanks for posting it!
Happy Easter cjs.
My pleasure Carl... nice to get some serious and interested feedback to these exercises, as opposed to the meaningless pap that some folks like to post.
I have been doing the neigong set for some time now (a short period = over three years)... and I can honestly say that the more you do it... the more benefit you can obtain.
Thanx again to Tim for making me (us) aware of this great system.
I am searching for a copy of Tim's book. Any Idea's? I am willing to pay a premium.
Dan
I actually have two copies. I'd certainly sell one, maybe even both, but my understanding is that right now this book is unavailable on Amazon, and when last seen on either Amazon or eBay was going for several hundred dollars, so that's the kind of price I'd be looking for.
Of course I didn't pay that, but if that's the current going price, that's what I'd want to get, and it's the only reason I'm interested in selling.
Make me an offer.

Wait until the next edition comes out and pay $20 for it! Nothing in it that is worth $300!!!!!
for that, you take several hours of private lessons with Tim!
Jake
exactly!
Is the next edition coming out anytime soon? Is it even coming out?
The next edition is presently in the works.
Tim, do you have an amazon link to your books there so you'll get a commision when I buy something? Or do you sell the books yourself at school? Sorry if this is off topic.
I don't get anything from Amazon. I don't have any books left for sale, until the new edition comes out.
I was wondering if anybody has had any negative, emotional experiences when practicing the exercises. Within 2 weeks, my boyfriend has become "narky" (which also happens when he does Reiki and Tai Chi) and I have felt out of sorts. Any advice? Thanks in advance
Dump your boyfriend.
i think that when a person trains really hard, the state of mind that you have during training will stick with you, i think it is very important to free the mind of all emotional distractions while practicing (wuji), and after a session, end with some sitting meditation and/or some tranquility exercises, such as "inner smiling, or imagining a beatiful landscape, i.e the ocean, a high mountain or a grassy range, etc.
i think its also important that the sessions should b uninterrupted, especially strenuous ones where alot of stress is placed on the body,i.e. long distance running, especially when cooling down, you dont want to be nagged at or anything of that nature.
note your state of mind which sould be positive, and your attitude which should be unwavering just, and compassionate/sympathetic. more of a natural attitude uninflunced by the world and your perceptions of it.
just my 2 cents
p.s. alot of people claim to be doing reiki, taii chi etc, but they really dont know crap about it, and if your boyfriend tries to hit you, leave him immediately, im sure you can do better.
