Hi,

My brother and I are setting up a weekly or semi weekly gathering in Center City Philadelphia. This will be on Sunday afternoons and will either be in my friends martial arts studio or if that's unavailable, then we will go to a nearby park (which is probobly better for throws and takedowns than concrete). If we use the studio, then we each pay five bucks for the space.

Here's the deal: This is a work out group. It doesn't matter what style or method of martial arts that you practice, you are welcome to come and practice. You show up, pay the five bucks (if we use the space), pick a partner and go to work. There are only three rules:

1. No teachers. By this I mean that I don't want anyone showing up and acting like a know it all, telling everyone what to do and how to do it. If anyone wants your advice or what you have to teach, then they will probobly ask you.

2. Respect the space. Whether it's in a park, studio or anywhere else, please don't do any stupid crap that will get us kicked out.

3. Respect your partner/s. Please don't bust anyones teeth out or lose control. Agree on what you both want to work on, the level of intensity and stick to it unless you both want to change.

That's it. The idea is that I'm tired of whining about how I don't have any one to practice with and I'm tired of trying to hassle all of my martial arts acquaintances into actually practicing with another person.
